People are beginning to see that the first requisite to success in life is to be a good animal.

For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.

Suzianne : Sonnets and pantoums on July 20, 2008Thank you for your comments on my poems. I value your opinion. Form poetry is to a poet what weight training is to body builders. It strenghtens and tones. The "poetical muscle" it builds makes our other writing, even free verse and prose, stronger. The best poets craft their form poems in ways that bring the words and message to light so the reader does not even notice the form. Case in point, most people would not notice that the Dylan Thomas poem, "Do Not Go Gently into that Goodnight" is a villanelle. It takes skill to do that.
