I've disappeared for a while. 2005 was death. I haven't written anything in a long time.
Let's see if I can change that then...
***
New year, new rules. I've found muses. Here and there. Muses, being the fickle things that they are, are always here for simple moments. All I can do is treasure the moments. I don't even know if they're real.
Oyu isn't real, but he lives behind the screen in my head and whispers wonderful and terrible things to me. He weaves stories like I weave webs.
Tyler isn't real, but he's the most realistic thing I've known.
I'm a goddess. Just as much as any woman. I am a spider. Not a huntress exactly, but I lie in wait, and they always come.
I cut them free.
After they cut me free.
I'm an untamed horse, or so I've been told. I wear many different brands on my skin. Given to me by others. Some by lovers. Those are the ones I treasure the most.
I'm submissive, but don't take that to mean that I'm weak. I know who I am and what I am, for the first time in my life, I know where I'm going.
Someday, I will leave here, and live on a rocky beach. I will let my hair go from the perfectly coifed arrangement it's in now to wild ivy.
I will snuff out candles with my tongue.
Some spiders...we just don't like the light.
When I give myself, I give completely, even if it's only a moment. For a moment, I can be anything, anyone. I've been compared to Erzulie, Kali, Isis, Innana, Azna herself.
I don't much feel like anyone but myself. I don't relate to Persephone anymore, but I still won't share a pomegranate.

braincake on September 17, 2003lol still laughing at above psycho. HAHAHA. Anyways just thought I would sign here because I really liked what I read today and will probably be back for more. Furthermore, I saw that you love haiku, which is one of my obsessions also. I write haiku incessantly, much to everyone else's chagrin. Anyways, great work, can't wait to read more. (LOL that Misty is hilarious. That made my day.) leaves, still chuckling
