And there's just no way to explain it-
This thing called Death.
That swoops and steals
and takes.
That devastates-
that wrecks.
"Above all shadows rides the sun,
and stars forever dwell.
I will not say the day is done,
nor bid the stars farewell...."
-John Ronald Reuel Tolkien (The Lord Of The Rings; The Return Of The King)
Here are some of my recommendations for other fabulous poets on this site.
jcmagee- One of the most advanced writers I have found on AP so far. Extremely luring and shocking. A lot of his pieces are shadows of things most of us dare not venture into. I applaud his courage and blatant disregard for tradition.
"some people will believe in you
regardless if you want them to,
their flowers bloom
with love you must provide -
and when you feel
too weak to care
their hungry souls
are waiting there
to savor every morsel
of Self you keep inside'
-jcmagee quote.
Pseudo Femme- By far the most astounding and mind boggling writer I've read in a very long time. Her writing is absolutely treacherous and beautiful. It reaches down inside to touch all your jagged edges and exposes you to the harsh light of your own mind. Definately worth a very in depth read.
"I will never be perfect-
I won’t even get close...
I can drown all the girls that I’ve been
then I can run from their ghosts
and find myself
at the end of another
lonely dirt-road
still begging for some re-assurance that it’s okay
to get older
that I can screw up and say sorry
without a big chip on my shoulder"
-Pseudo Femme quote.
"Well I was blessed with a birth and a death
and I guess I just want some say inbetween."
-Ani Difranco, First Album; Talk To Me Now
I guess this is the part where I explain a little about me- only, see, I sort of think that's what my poetry's for. So enjoy:

abernaith on October 11, 2005Thanks for the applause. I guess you've changed your name. Although AP doesn't seem to accept it via the im system, so I'm forced to put this in your guestbook. Feel free to delete it after reading.
