WindchildShow poetry

I like to write poetry that come from my heart, and means something. Something that can be applied to life, or something that gives hope, or something. I want people to feel emotion when they read my poetry. My name is Jennifer, and I am in highschool. I dont write about the terrible dramas of highschool, but sometimes about the love I found there. I am in love, strange as it might seem for someone in highschool, but I believe that I am. I'm not ignorant to what love is, I know love when I find it. God led me to this boy, I am sure of that much. As a child I was abused, hated, sexually harased, ignored, the works. I didn't feel much love, but I knew what it was when I felt it. I feel love for this boy. It seems strange to call him a boy, but at 17 what else are you?

I have fought through depression, self-hatred, cutting, drinking, and smoking as well. I've been through a lot, but with the help of God and some really good friends, I have pulled through, and everything is getting better all the time. God plays a big part in my life. He does so many wonderful things for me that I dont even know how to thank Him. He really is wonderful, and he really can change your life. Through Him I learned how to forgive and forget and the abuse and harasement. I've never totally forgotten how bad it was, but I dont want to. I want to help others who are abused, and I want to remember what it was like to be in thier shoes when I do.

On a tad bit more positive side, I ride horses, i own 2 of them. Rosie is a 7 year old chestnut half Arabian, half American Baskier Curlie. MacCool is a 10 year old retired Throughbred racing horse. They are both gorgeous, and I love them. I play the clarinet for marching band at my highschool, and the Contra Bass Clarinet for Symphonic band as at my highschool. The Contra is like a 6 foot tall clarinet. It is huge. But I like it. I am in Madrigals, which is a Renasance singing/acting group. We rock . I live on a farm where we raise our own beef steers. (Cows for meat for the city folks out there.) Yes, we kill and butcher them ourselves. Kinda icky, but its part of life for me. I have a dog named Dodge, he is black and brown, and a German/Austrailian Shepard. My brother, who is 12, also has one, a brown one named.. whoot-whoot : Browno. thats the color Brown, with an "oh" on the end. Genious, I know. I have 2 cats that live indoors, Gracie, who is all black, and Double Dipped, who is all white with a black tail, head, and back right heel. she is very cute, and very small still.

I've gotten tired of talking about myself now. I'm sure there is more to know, but its too much work to write it all down here right now. Christ be with you.
Jesus loves you

Jenn..Thanks for your awesome comment on my poem "thoughts". You really got it and that makes me so happy! When times are really really hard and your thoughts turn dark, we have to remember that we are only here for a flash in time. We go thru what we go thru for a reason, not of our understanding. I think it's a test of our faith all in preperation for a place so wonderful that it's beyond our wildest imagination. Keep the faith and trust the Lord in all things. God Bless You!
