I usually write poems reflecting what I'm thinking about at the time, what I'm passionate about, and how I feel.
Yay me... First contest. I'm suprised at the huge response I have gotten from it! I have gotten a lot of good poems, and it will be EXTREMELY difficult to judge...

As a side note: Because of the poems in the contest, I have decided to become a writer professionally! ^_^
Some quotes that I like:
(from the play "an ideal husband" by oscar wilde) MABEL CHILTERN: Oh, I love London Society! I think it has immensely improved. It is entirely composed now of beautiful idiots and brilliant lunatics. Just what Society should be.
(same) MRS. CHEVELEY: Ah! the strength of women comes from the fact that psychology cannot explain us. Men can be analysed, women...merely adored.
