Thanks for taking the time to fein interest in my work. Poetry, for me, began as a way to gain attention from a girl on whom I had a crush. I used writing to explore these kinds of feelings for the longest time. I then discovered the relationship between poetry and music and fell in love with both. I don't limit myself by sticking to any one thing. I try to examine all aspects of the human condition. Poetry has allowed me to expand my vocabulary and helped me, in turn, teach others in my chosen field. I've been published in a couple of major periodicals. I'd won a handful of contests before the whole internet craze began, so it seemed special at the time. I was also featured regularly in my college paper. I enjoy writing poetry much more than I enjoy reading it. Sometimes you guys suprise me, though. So, if you get a good comment from me, take it to heart, because I don't give many.
I tend to see life through the proverbial rose-colored glasses and I prefer it that way. To hell with negativity. Nothing positive ever came from it. I still have hope for the human race and always will. Sanctuaries such as this site help with that.
I'm just a big kid at heart , really. I still love video games. I have a collection of stuffed animals as well as lighters, coins, and wooden boxes. Music is the greatest joy of life for me. Women, food, sleep, and the smiles of others, follow close behind.
I write and play some music. The guys that influence my music also tend to influence my writing.
David Gilmour,
Roger Waters,
Peter Steele,
Michael Hedges,
Maynard James Keenan,
Billy Corgan,
Geddy Lee,
Neil Pert,
Jim Morrison,
Janis Joplin,
Bono,
Mike Oldfield,
Enya,
Chudd,
Marilyn Manson,
Trent Reznor,
Dave Matthews,
Robert Smith,
Zach De La Rocha,
So on and so forth.
Anything Stephen King has ever written is pure genius. Just read the Dark Tower series to figure that one out.
I love the world of body modification. I have a depiction of the fall of Icarus that covers my entire back, as well as a few others and half-inch holes in my ears. I consider non-conformity to be my social filter. Anyone who will avoid me because of my appearance can crap and fall back in it. I didn't need them sucking off my positive energy anyway. I'm veeery opinionated, so if you have any questions or would like to hear what's behind any of my works, please don't hesitate to ask.
Ciao!

poetryality on December 3, 2005I'm good! Good to see you. I am glad about your relation being the distraction. LOL Writing is great therapy. Good to know you don't need any right now, therapy that is. LOL HOpe you have a wonderful holiday!

trentoncarl on October 28, 2005I'm always around, good to see that someone cares. I've been without access for quite some time. I have come to realize that my writing filled some gap of lonliness for me. Sadly, I've been neglecting it since meeting my fiance' about a year and a half ago. In the interim, I've written almost nothing. I'm sure I'll discover some other void to fill, and start, yet again, to shed emotion through my pen. In the mean time, a renewed interest in any of my work would make chest swell to no end.
Have fun and be careful,
