I am a 44 y/o female who has been writing poetry for over 20 years now.
I have been printed in several fanzines that mostly deal with star trek though lately I haven't been writing much dealing with star trek and have gone onto other subjects.
I currently work as a CNA and have been doing so for the last 16 years or so. It is hard work but rewarding in many ways.
I love to read. I love sci fi, horror, classics, and just about anything I can get my hands on.
I'd love talking with anyone who is willing to talk with me.

Sometimes
when I am sitting alone
and feeling various things all at once.
I put my thoughts,
my feelings,
down on a piece of paper.
These words
have a special meaning to me
even if they don't to anyone else.
So I thought I would ask
just Who are you to tell me
in no uncertain terms
that my thoughts and words
are not important
because of a spelling error,
or a rhyme not quite working
in your eyes,
or a meaning so obscure
that you cannot ascertain what it means.
So who are you to tell me,
to bash my thoughts,
my feelings
to bits
just because my writings
do not meet your precious standards.
Critiquing I understand
but it can be done with delicacy,
with respect to ones feelings
and hopes.

condor on September 12I love your page, Trekkergirl. So many groups you are in. I wonder how you keep up with them all. lol!!!! Every tuesday, we watch Leonard Nimoy as he narrates...In Search Of.. a wonderful but old series of mysterious events. Have you seen that. He was a very talented man. Your page is amazingly magnetic and I have been here for the last twenty minutes just admiring the dedications and words you have placed.
