Heya gorgeous! Long time, no see! I think I lost your MSN when my old account got corrupted. Add me again sometime :-p My addy is on my author page.

And when you get a chance, I'm posting Letting Go in its (hopefully) final format chapter by chapter. As my favourite poet - I'd love your take on it. :-)

Hi Morgan! Thanks for your kindness. Your advice is good, I might try that some time. The block was back in May though, I'm fine now. I'm not one of the hyper-productive authors that write a new poem every day. Not that it's anything wrong with that, it's just not my style.
You said that "the conscious mind's writing tends to be slow, frustrating, and often forced." I agree 100%! That's why I never try to write like that, I only write when I get that certain feeling (that I'm sure you're familiar with). Of course it means that sometimes it may take months before I write a single poem but I can't force it - and neither do I feel blocked! The block is what I experience when I really feel the need to write something but when I sit down to do it the words won't come out. Usually that happens because somewhere in the back of my mind something's telling me that they wouldn't suffice anyway. It's connected to intense emotion - if you read my poetry, you'll find it's filled with it. But my best pieces were written after I've had the chance to "sleep on it" a little. For some odd reason, I need some distance to sound emotional. Those poems also take a long time to write because it's like tearing pieces of my soul out and that can't be done quickly. So indeed my most honest writes are the slow ones. My only quick writes are the humorous ones. It's interesting how different people's styles are, isn't it?
Thank you for your kind advice and for stopping by. I'll go read some of your poetry as soon as I can.
    Have a lovely day!
