Write about a nuclear holocaust that happenes to the world. Why does it happen, who started it, what does the world look like now?
The World
By Moroni on May 20th 2009, late morning.on topic Nuclear Holocaust
The countries started a war,
Of total destruction.
They wanted the whole world dead.
First Asia, then Europe,
Soon the Americas, and Africa.
They all followed by suit.
One by one they launched their weapons.
Everything is gone now.
Nothing is left to savage or make use of.
The world is now gone.
Just as we know it.
Nothing exhists anymore.
People, plants, buildings.
Everything is gone.
The day the stars fell from the sky,
Everything ended.
Now life has no materials.
No money, no toys, no jobs.
Yes, nothing is all there is.
Life is about life now.
Not money, or social status.
It's about life.
Of total destruction.
They wanted the whole world dead.
First Asia, then Europe,
Soon the Americas, and Africa.
They all followed by suit.
One by one they launched their weapons.

Boom your dead
By Rory Williamson on May 21st 2009, early afternoon.on topic Nuclear Holocaust
the skys turn black
as the ground burns
everything is disappearing
buildings
houses
lives
all of it gone
with in a second
the countdown had begun
now it is over
quickly whiping everthing out
with its dark skys
its deathly radioactivity
life ends quickly
the nuclear holocaust has happened
the world has ended
everyone is dying
everyone is homeless
Canada,USA,Russia,Europe
has all been destoyed
the radio is telling us that their are suvivors
should we go to them
we are dying already from lack of food
we need to go
more are luanched
round 2 has begun
the final countdown is starting
this isnt what we wanted
all the leaders
have told us
that this would happen
please someone end it
the nukes hit
you watch as your town
is oblitarted
in front of you
ripping your home apart
you see your mother die
you see your father die
you watch your brothers skin melt off
oh god
your dead also
you feel your body explode outwards
ripping apart
as your home is oblitarted
as the ground burns
everything is disappearing
buildings
houses

Verde Hot Springs
By Green Manalishi on May 30th 2009, evening time.on topic Nuclear Holocaust
I went up to the hot springs, just to get away for a week or so, and ended up staying.
When the first man to reach our camp with the news that "Phoenix is gone" arrived, half of us believed him, and the other half thought that he was high on some bad shit. But he stayed with us, saying that he didn't want to go back to Camp Verde, which was apparently in terrible shape as every surviving town must now be.
I knew that Flagstaff had been missed, and that meant that there wouldn't be any fallout in the river.
Thinking of how a friend of mine claimed that she had lived up here for three months, I wondered about the details that she never told, that I hadn't asked about. Of course, I also thought about my family and friends who were now dead, but that didn't get me through the day. It was time to be practical, to face my challenges, to learn to hunt with the small crossbow that I had brought up here for target practice.
It was ironic how I had taken this vacation to get away from the stress of writing my composition paper, "The Sky Is Falling", only to hear that the situation in the Middle East had disintegrated faster than even I expected. With Iran and North Korea testing their missiles and nuclear devices left and right, I wondered how much of the world had gotten involved in the atomic exchange. That the internet was completely down was a terrible sign, if those Camp Verde refugees could be believed on that point.
There was spring water here, and the high mineral content of the hot spring offered all the topical healing that anyone could hope for. There were berries and game around, to a degree, and the people up here are peaceful hedonists (mostly liberals). The first thing that we did once the stories were supported and disbelief was suspended was to plant all of our pot seeds. It would be one thing to live without beer, something that I'd never considered, but to have no escape mechanism at all was absurd. And, speaking of seeds, we were going to have to get more than marijuana going, and quickly.
Camp Verde was ten miles west, accessible only by off-road vehicles, mountain bikes, or hiking. It was only a matter of time before the survivors would show up here to use the springs...

Nuclear War
By xXaciremajXx on June 6th 2009, the wee hours.on topic Nuclear Holocaust
All I can see around me
Is pain and suffering
I hate seeing my mother cry
But whatelse is there to do?
Everything is gone
All that is left is hunger, despair, deformity
We all wait for the next nuke to kill us
We wait
We hope
How could they keep this war going?
The whole world is in ruins.
Our lifes have been shattered
And our home is destroyed.
What have we done?
All we can do now is hope for the nuke.
Is pain and suffering
I hate seeing my mother cry
But whatelse is there to do?
Everything is gone
All that is left is hunger, despair, deformity
We all wait for the next nuke to kill us
We wait
We hope
How could they keep this war going?
