Brief rendition of a story that will either be a short story or a novel someday...it's all still in my head! :)

This is for a short story I have been working on a lot over the past while. I keep deleting it, and redoing it, and deleting it. the details have been refined a bit in my mind over the years, but the sotry is basically the same each time. I think if I write it here, it will help solidify it in my head so I can finally finish it in font
