Hi, I'm Chris. I live near Leicester in England (pretty much bang in the middle). I've written poetry for as long as I can remember, but I stopped dead a couple of years ago. I'd been writing mainly introspective, what you'd probably call 'emo' poems and lyrics, and just drifted out of it, what I wrote was too personal to show anyone, and lacked any real quality, it was just for me.
I got writing again recently after meeting a poet who told me that if I could write I should do (see the poem 'For Chloe'). My first poem since then was a sonnet about a sunrise, and this reminded me how much I enjoy writing. I shy away from introspection now, and write mainly in an abstract, impressionistic style, aiming to conjour images which are controled by the poem but also shaped by the reader. That's all you need to know about me. Work the rest out from the poems.
Oh, and I believe in giving truthful, detailed and helpful comments, so please don't think I'm being harsh, I really am trying to help. I'll always make suggestions, never just criticise.
I also like to take photos, usually as writing inspiration, but they're on my deviantart (address below) if you're interested
