I'm a Baptist Minister since 17 years old (retired as pastor of Victory Park Baptist Church, for 22 and 1/2 years, on April 9, 2003). Married on May 25,1972. Have two children both are in the ministry. Five grandkids.Have had Parkinson Disease since 1985. Have two Deep Brain Stimulaters inserted in brain, to prevent the symptoms of the disease. Doing very well with them.
I prefer rhyming poetry, different types of rhyming. Enjoy some free verse, write a little free verse. Most of my poems are about life, some are purely fictitious. I do a considerable number of poems with spiritual themes.
I'm into gardening, antique cars, genealogy and people.I am a distant relative of Edgar Allan Poe, direct cousin of actress Tallulah Bankhead, relative of Quannah Parker, Commanche Chief, kith and kin of Robert Fulton.
I love this site, it challenges me in writing my poetry. I have met and made new friends on this site. Have several poems published. I write a lot of folklore, poems and story form.

I am glad to know that you are saved as well. God Bless his kin. I'm happy to have met someone else who is saved. They are few and in between. Thank you for your kinda words on my bio. It is by far more detailed and it was on here as well, but I changed it greatly because I felt it was too long. But God Bless you. Take care and thank you again.

If you want to be a part of it you can, but I'm not a christian or really religious at all, and I seem to more fall off the path then walk it...
Knowing that if you still would like to be you can! Just tell me which member you'd enjoy the most!
