Mae govannen... that basically means 'hello', for all of you who aren't well versed in the languages of Middle Earth... Yes, i am one of those rather particular people who are completly and totally obsesed with anything to do with Tolkien... i admit it freely, so laugh if you will... i don't really care... Someday i shall build a hobbit hole and i shall live there, and all of you can come and visit, and have tea and biscuits and a pipe afterward... then you'll see what you've been missing. And i'll visit the elves, and learn their language, and all their history... and i'll be perfectly happy till the end of my days... then we'll see who's laughing... for i shall be happy, and shall see what you've been missing...

So who else am i, besides a hopeless Tolkien fanatic... well, my name is emily, i work at ben and jerry's, i'm 17 years old, i'm a junior in high school in south carolina... yeah, that's right, south carolina. but i'm not really a southcarolinian... i'm half canadian, a quarter irish, somewhat welsh, and a little bit of a lot of other stuff. Honestly, i'm not such a fan of south carolina. There are lots of ingnorant people here. And lots of Republicans. Yes, i'm a liberal... i don't care if our party has faults, we're better than all you bush-loving ass-holes! i don't mean to be offensive, but i can't stand him, and what he's done to our country... not to mention of whole bunch of other countries, some of which we had no buisness messing with (*cough* IRAQ *cough*)... It's not that i don't think that the world's better off with Saddam out of commision... but i hate the way we went about taking him out... first of all, the Bush administration lied completely to us about why we were going there (don't believe me? check out my friend, imminentaccident's, page... look for the story about colin powell... if that's not prof then i don't know what is...) Then the entire opporation was botched from the begining... so many innocent people have lost their lives... and for what? No war is worth this much death...
I could go on and on about the administration's shortfalls... the economy, the deficit, social security, the environment, science, equal rights, religion... all i'm asking for is a little damn separation of church and state. this is not a christian country, no matter how much it looks like it... and our president, in my oppinion, bases his political decisions far to much on his faith... i've nothing against his faith or beliefs - just the fact that he seems bent on projecting them on the rest of us. It's sure working well in this state... if you don't believe what we believe, then you're going to hell, and that's the end of that. I can't say how many times i've been told i'm going to hell... fortunatly i don't believe in hell... i believe God loves everyone, no matter what they've done, or who they are (example: i think saying that God hates you if your're gay is like saying He hates you cause you're black, or you like to play tennis, or that you're Jewish, or Muslim, or pagen, or anything... think about it people...)

Hmm... that was a lot of talk, and you're all probobly bored out of you're minds... pardon my long speech... on to more important things...

2. I have a imaginary friend. His name is Edward, and i've known him for a few months now. He just walked up to me in algebra one day, and he's been with me ever since! He's reall quite nice to have about... he's a great listener, that's all he used to do at first, but we've had some good conversations lately... He's a bit shy when you first meet him, but i've gotten to know him pretty well, and he's got quite a personallity... i really rather like him. Edward:  . You're a great friend...
