W.C. Fields was an effing genius!


So now you know my sense of humor. I'm a crazy girl, blacker than night but with an insane drive to succeed in a world that expects nothing of me. Life is rough, life is fun--but most of all, life is something worth living and I want to live it to the fullest. I've tried everything: sports, music, art, writing... and not to be full of it, but I'm good at it all, too. Or that's what people tell me. I'm not so sure, because I am my own worst--or would it be best?--critic, and I am never happy with what I do.



Which brings me here. Is my writing something worth getting excited about? It's something I love to do, helping me deal with all sorts of shnizz in my life, and I've grown a lot since I started in a stupid little pink diary. Now it's up to you guys to help me grow even more. I love it when I get honest critique--not those people who write, "I liked it" even when they didn't because they don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. So if you don't like my stuff, channel your inner Simon Cowell and rip me to shreds with a sexy British accent.



You know the world is going crazy when the best rapper is a white guy, the best golfer is a black guy, the tallest guy in the NBA is Chinese, the Swiss hold the America's Cup, France is accusing the U.S. of arrogance, Germany doesn't want to go to war, and the three most powerful men in America are named 'Bush', 'Dick', and 'Colon'.

OMG haha another genius! But Mr. Chris Rock brings up a valid point that some people refuse to get: things are changing in the world. Ideas come and go, and stereotypes are constantly broken. I really am free of prejudices; I kind of have to be, considering how I am one of only three black students in my grade that is in honors classes. But the point is, I believe in tolerance. Of everything. A biggie is sexuality, which I find is one of the biggest problems in America. Who says guys aren't allowed to hug in public? And why is it that, if they do, they are speculated to be gay? And even if they are, who gives a dump? I have many gay/lesbian/bisexual friends that are absolutely wonderful people, and I am bisexual myself, so expect some dark blue or dark red stories in the future...



It's not who you love that counts, nor is it how you love. The fact that you love at all should be more than enough for anybody.

I draw inspiration from many sources: pictures, movies, other stories, life, music... oh, my god MUSIC. I listen to everything, from rap to alternative to African tribal music to Japanese pop to Spanglish dance crazes lol and I play several instruments and--get this--I sing. I dance too, though not professionally. Music is a great form of expression, and if you feel like you are missing something in life, then get out there and FIND A GOOD SONG!!!!
