Sorry about your dad, I lost my mom too, so I know how hard it is. Lovely picture of them by the way. By the way, you quoted one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite albums ever,,,The Hurting, by Tears For Fears" they wrote all of those songs about the abuse they suffered in their childhood. Peace to you.

I just happened upon your page and saw the lyrics to "Mad World" on here. That is one of my favorite songs from my all-time Favorite Movie. I just learned how to play it on the piano about 2 weeks ago.

"I went to school and I was very nervous
    no one knew me
    no one knew me
Hello teacher tell me what's my lesson?
    (look right through me
    look right through me)"

    *sighs* it's beautiful.

im sry to hear bout ur dad but the man in my bakground is my grandfather whom i loved dearly and ur prob wondering what does that have to do with you well he apperently died the same day as your father that is very ironic and i thought id never meet a person who lost a father grandfather great grandfather ect. on the exact same day i lost mine im sry to hear of your loss and im sure it still hurts and the pain is overwhelming and any brief thing can bring you to tears and that is the same way i feel since 11-11-04

Thanks for dropping by. I must warn you that I have a dark side which lives in fantasy, but sometimes expresses itself in what I write. I am a Truist, but I indulge in fantasies sometimes. Recently I have written erotica and horror. That's quite a departure, but I confess, I found it entertaining. Nothing new really, just my variations. Thanks again. Just thought I should warn you.

Hello, since you commented on one of my poems, I thought I would return the kidness and stop by your little corner of the AP world. That's great that you have your favorite picture of your father here, very admirable. I'm sorry to hear of your loss, I know it was hard from experiance. I myself lost both my mother and father in 1989. They passed away 11 weeks apart.

I enjoyed my visit and promise to stop again and read some of your poetry. I also like the song lyrics you posted. I just LOVE that song. Be Well and Be Blessed.

Hello, just dropping in - I've seen you around. How are things going? Any better?

I've been busy with work and family life, school is on hold for a few months Then I'll basically have no life for a year or more during clinicals and stuff. I enjoy it though, I just miss Alaina.

Bed of Roses - Lover’s Words

    I

    { Whispered breeze falls so
    quietly upon soft
    bed of roses sweet,
    perfumed scent locks hearts.

    She lies there, her eyes
    closed in waiting for
    delicate surprise,
    breasts gently rising,

    falling with her breath,
    released into the
    summer day’s murmurings,
    the world is silent

    fury as I smile,
    collect thoughts and speak -
    the words roll of tongue
    like melting ice-cube. }

    II

    Whispers: (I love you!)
    My life before has
    ended, I am born
    again right here, now.

    Do not open your
    eyes my sweet desire,
    let my words roam you,
    touch secret places.

    For you, I would throw
    life to the devil
    and waste away pure
    time, just for a glimpse

    of that smile waiting
    in the crystals-jade.
    I would live here in
    bliss now - die tomorrow!

    III

[ Please don’t stop, my love,
    as I lie here, eyes
    closed, heart racing in
    fathomless time, tears

    dance beneath my lids,
    your words excite me,
    no! Excite is too
    feeble a word to

    use for my senses
    reel with passions bright.
    I could lie here still
    forever and wander

    the lines you breathe for
    me, take me away,
    to that dream you have
    brought into my life! ]

    IV

    I would throw myself
    at your delicious
    feet and bear my soul,
    cry my love, ‘alive!’

    Sexually (sigh)
    attractive wonder
    that you are, my love,
    nothing could hold back

    this leaping flame that
    is for you alone.
    Time will blush at the
    things I will show you.

    The moon will weep for
    her sister sun - die
    in heaven for us,
    this true love we share.

    V

    [ My God in heaven,
    I thank you for this,
    this man of wonder
    who sings his soul here.

    Let this time forever
    be remembered in
    the pages history
    folds throughout my sweet

    fired eternity.
    I have lived, nothing
    can change that now,
    beautifully, I live!

    (Sighs) fold me into
    these roses beneath,
    my rivers run for you,
    always true for you. ]

    VI

    My heart, open your
    eyes, look upon me,
    see this truth I hold
    for your touch so soft.

    There will be only
    you in the spaces
    wandered, death, it could
    not remove me from

    this love, I swear it!
    Come to me please and
    open me as I
    open your treasures.

    Let the Gods of old
    watch these scenes as we
    fall into the wild
    veins of lovemaking.

    Come to me, give all
    that I ask of you,
    take all that I give
    of myself so true.

    VII

    { Roses dance, the day
    laughs loud at pleasured
    sights, hearts skip beats and
    gasp in gentle wisps.

    Time sneaks away, it
    leaves lovers alone,
    subtle breath smiles,
    wanders into dreams! }

  • Ava Noire on February 4, 2004
Well...I am ok as in that I am alive. My daughter is doing good even though the past few weeks have been hell (she's teething and has been sick). I hope things go well for you.

Well, I would hate to think there was someone out there who felt they had no one to turn too. In fact after your comment on my page I am glad you wrote it and they came to realise (hopefully?) Sometimes things have to be put to them bluntly for them to take notice of things around them. Thanks for letting me know, but it still scared the hell out of me LOL

Thank you for the comment on my page. I've never actually thought any of my work was any good, so it's nice to hear from at least one person who likes it. I would read some of your work now, but I'm short of time; so you can expect me back any time.

Can't seem to IM from work. Thanks for your comments on Submission. Not from personal experience but easy enough to draw from the far too many occurances around us. Pain, anguish, fear; especially were chosen to fill the line but they are just really emotions so well fit to the poet.

thanks again... really enjoying your stuff.

Hi yourbentangel, thanks for reading and commenting on my poem. I'm glad you enjoyed it. To answer your question, I have one more poem in this vein called Hillbilly Christmas Cake. I was wondering, being a fer piece from the coast (I'm not really a hillbilly) what HSU stands for? My confidence rating is pretty high on the 'U'.

Hi there thank you very much for your comment on my poem " a million aplogies" I was really surprised by that one because it was very personal and it would have been to make complete sense.lol.But as you say if you write from your heart it will always show. And we do seem to have at least one thing in common Robert Frost and probably a sensitive heart as well.lol.Thanks again and itis now time for me to have a peep at your works. You wouldn't mind would you.lol.You seem to be new around here or may be not.The number of poems suggest that you may be but the entries on your page suggest otherwise.Best wishes either way.

    Hi, bentangel!
-just wanted say thanks for reading my tired ol' drivel and for your nice comment on the last one (and I didn't think anyone read the junk I post here). Just read one of yours...it seems you have the soul of a poet, a rare & precious thing indeed.
Oh, and your handle has odd but strong appeal for me.

I am proud of you for taking the step towards happiness. I know you must be scared as heck but you have alot of support from me and others as well I'm sure. I wish you the best of luck on your journey. I know youll find happiness and contenment, I'm sure. I was born in Nov myself so good luck with all that.

take care sweety. Thanks for stopping by my page, it made me smile.
And for reading my poems too. I'm glad you find solace among my words.

    luv xx

  • Ava Noire on June 10, 2003
Hey you. I wish you the best of luck with your studies and with your thoughts. I hope to hear from you soon and hopefully all will be well but sometimes it takes awhile for things to get just right. Try not to be discouraged -I know that is so much easier said than done, but always know you have the stregnth within to pull through whatever life throws at ya.

I do hope you continue writing. Now is a very important turning point where your poetry is concerned because you are going through a difficult/trying time. Many changes are being made and writing about it will help you get those feelings out. Keep a journal...record your everyday thoughts. noone will have to know about it but you. it can be your sole companion during this time.

thanks for remembering me. I'll be thinking of you so when you get time drop in and lemme know you are ok

  • yourbentangel on June 10, 2003
To Tina, Chasingtheday, ZEZ, and all others who spared my feelings and told me what they honestly thought of my writings, thank you thank you thank you. Tomorrow, I am moving to the coast, where I have been accepted to HSU. I start in the fall, and will not have a computer up and running for a while. I always have my laptop, but I fear that I may not have much time. With everything that has gone right in my life this last year, there has been much that has gone wrong, I will sit at moonstone beach, watch the waves, and reflect that the ocean is a never ending source of power, a power that cannot be stopped. I will try not to think of the bad, I will remember the good, a trip to chico, Eric Clapton, Butterflies, Burney Falls, and maybe I will be inspired enough to write.
It may be a while before I am on again, and I hope that when I am, things will be perfect in my life, but I have a feeling of "Never Again"

    hi!
  • Jaden on February 19, 2003
Hi. Robert Frost is also one of my favorites.

    I might suggest Billy Collins.

He was accepted as America's Poet Laureate two years in a row and recently gave a reading at the Library of Congress. Just go to google search engine and put in his name. From there you should be able to find the LOC reading he gave. Or try:

    http:www.loc.gov/locvideo/bcollins/

It's about a 45 minute video stream (three sections I believe, just give each section a few moments to reload)

He has been compared to Robert Frost. Not because of his stlye, but because of his originality. Incrediable poet.

    Take care.
