The CheshireKat on December 30, 2004hey Reighna, i'm sorry. i didn't call on your bday b/c 1) i thought it was the fifteenth that day (see, my sister is one day after you, and i had this idea in my head that her bday was saturday since that was the day we were going out to dinner, so her bday was friday but i thought that was YOUR birthday...), and 2) i kinda felt bad about being too strapped for funds that i couldn't afford a present. same for x-mas. i meant to call you several times, but i've just had so much on my mind lately... it's a world of crap you are lucky not to be involved in; plus, i've been preoccupied baking tons of cookies... i don't know... it's eleven PM and i've had a very up and down type of day, maybe i'm a little burnt. i'm certainly pretty preoccupied about ... several things... mostly about Savage and Lisa and the baby. like i said, world of crap you're lucky not to be involved in. god, i HATE that woman. everything she touches turns to shit. but that's a different story. ::sigh:: i don't know. i had good intentions... but you know what they say- road to hell and stuff. i apologize for making you feel neglected, for what it's worth.
now i'm off to see if i can compose a poem that will sort out my aching head. -
The CheshireKat on December 17, 2004hey, happy one-day-late bday + stuff.

-
GlassSlippers on March 4, 2004I love the background you used here-- I don't know if you've ever read "voyage of the dawn treader" by CS Lewis, but this background looks exactly like one of the scenes in the book! I wish I could walk through it... how lovely.

Black Star on February 1, 2004eek again
tis possible that I say "holden" and I mean "me" or "I". Like maybe I'm putting my shit on him, but he's the universal timeless teenager, so I guess thats alright. Holden loses his cynicism? I didn't get that out of it at all. If I remember right, he realizes that there is no catcher in the rye, can't accept that, and has a nervous breakdown. Congratulations on your expert analysis of Holden, I'm in awe. But enough with the sarcasm. I'm not taking the book and putting it in poem form, I'm not at all concerned with the message of the book or whatever you think the message was. I'm writing a reaction of sorts...allowing my subconscious to speak to Holden directly. And anyway, we're getting off topic. The poem is what I'm concerned with. I know I have a firm grip on the book. And as for the 'om' thing, frankly it seems so insignificant..I just want my poem to be good and according to you, it isn't. thats the trouble -
Black Star on February 1, 2004eek
you crippled me dear...my feelings are officially smashed. Quite frankly, I was prepared to hand that epic bit of writing in, whatever the reviews may have been. but your critique has left me stranded, bouncing off the ropes. your review may prove helpful in the long run...though I must say that you are wrong and that the poem is damn good. its fucking brilliant, I think. And I'm a humble fella. if you're gonna say something like "I don't think you understand Holden" you should explain yourself, at least a little bit. Because I think I have at least somewhat of a firm grip on the book and on Holden in particular. What am I missing? ehh..I'm seriously reeling now, you've knocked the wind out of me...dancing like fire over my poem. fine, I won't hand it in, if it doesn't meet your standards. Granted it needs to be edited...besides the silly mispelled word play, do you see nothing in it? What kills me is that I've seen you give shining reviews to truly mediocre writing..."the dresses", is that my competition!?! come now. well..bleh, you've never really liked my writing much anyway, and thats quite alright. I plan on editing the fuck out of my shitty little poem, and handing it in, despite your better efforts..haha foiled again, eh? So, I'm off to go shave off the rough edges
