How are you doing? Well, I'm officially taking a poetry class at my community college and I figure that I should try to find that passion for poetry that I seemed to have lost at some point. It's good to see that you're around here still and I hope we can catch up. I think I've forgotten a lot over the years but I know you were always kind to me and I know that kindness isn't something that I usually deserved. So, thank you for that. If you want to email me, you can reach me at jeremy.deforrest@gmail.com. It's good to hear from you and God bless!
  • Darmok : guest book on June 24, 2008
Wendy, thankyou for your read and comments. Darmok
  • Brian N : Hello on June 8, 2008
Thank you for stopping by to read my work. I came to return the favor. In reading your statement above, it has me pondering a few things and I thought I would share.

If you've ever studied dualism and nondualism philosophy, there are distinct beliefs about ego and self, sometimes referred to as the witness or the seer.

In a nondualistic sense, there is no separation and it contradictory to state there is no membership of the imagination and ego. On the contrary, the imagination is part of the ego. It is as much part of the ego as an atom to a molecule to a cell, or a holon within a holarchy. Some also teach that true identity is formed based on the content of the mind, hence, a possibility that ego, in the individualistic perspective, is formed by parts of the imagination.

I'll have to think about this some more. Interesting how something can set you down an inintended path.

    Regards,
    Brian

    wendy,

It has been my pleasure to meet you and I have enjoyed your poetry. I hope you won't mind if I add you to my author's page listing of poets to read. You have left me with a smile. It is 2:30 AM here in Cleveland and I am afraid I must go to bed before I begin to make no sense at all. Many blessings to you, and thank you for the journey on a like path.

    Much Love,
    Renee

Thank you for commenting on "The Long Hard Wait". Truth is I haven't posted for a long time and I have lost heart in the site. So many people and not always sharing my sense of asthetics! Still I do make an effort to read yours every once in a while (you are listed under my favourites). Keep writing and thanks for the comment.

yeah i want to thank you for your comment...

"Sounds like the conflict of inner man and creator. It's as if the closer we get to answers of life's question, the more adversities we face. We unearth our own wisdom through our own destruction."

you hit it on the head... and the last line was a release for me, you know... seeing something i could not put into words in the words i was unable to find... thats a great line...

    thanks
    Doug

Wendy, thanks for reading my last poem. I am glad you could relate to it. There is something that I'd like to change in that poem--I don't think it's clear that I did not have sex with that guy. Just serious kissing, etc. I have not had the time to revise it nor do I have any idea of how I want to change it. Glad you are spending more time with Sydney and are making money in the summer. I'll tell you more about my writing workshops experience later. Take care, Nani
  • naninina on June 20, 2003
Hi Wendy, thanks for your message. I am doing all right, I am in Boulder, Colorado now, and am taking writing workshops, actually. Busy schedule at school, but I am learning a lot. How have you been?
  • Deke on April 2, 2003
So, you are from Alabama--what part? My Grandpa and Grandma came to Arkansas from Alabama. I still have lots of kin there especially around the Taladega Springs and Sylacauga areas. If you know any Greens or Brewers I likely am kin to them.

I see you've read quite a few of my poems today- thank you for reading and for your comments; it's nice to see you around here again. And it's nice to be remembered...
Janetta (my ex-almost-wife),from 'Janetta Speaks To Me,' really did overdose on pills (at least four different times) but that was years ago - at least, I hope those times are over. Our relationship ended a long time ago - a big relief for both of us. Even after all these years, she still appears in my poems...
Anyway, it's great to hear from you. I'll have check out what you're writing these days.
  • Darmok on October 22, 2002
Windy, I love this pattern, may I use it for Replies ;) I so appreciate that wonderful comment to me on that collection page. The replies mean a lot to me, as they have all been born of these threads shared by us here...unique moments in my life that inspired....'created' magic and was truly a gift to me, for having found something hidden yet now shared. I will come back to your poetry soon...I see many interesting titles.

once you realize how messed up your life is in the eyes of others, it embarrasses you ....

    their shame embarrasses you.

    Thanks.
