    Hi Albert,

Thank you for the ecards! They certainly brighten my day

Now that I'm back in college, things have been quite hectic, but I'm trying to get back into the swing of things here at AP.

Miss you much and blessings on you,

Sam! It's so wonderful to hear from you

I'm sorry I haven't been around in awhile - I'm in Lakewood, CO now, attending Colorado Christian University, and pursuing an English degree with a creative writing emphasis. Things have been quite hectic in my life.

You're certainly in my prayers! How are you fairing?

    Blessings on you,

    tf

I just wanted to say that the essay your mom wrote for you is so wonderful, and it's nice that you put it there. I felt that it did a very nice job introducing who you were.

Also, those analogies and metaphors that you have up there are absolutely hilarious, I just kept on cracking up!

You're a tlaented poet, and I will definately check in now and then and read your new stuff!

  • trumpetfalcon on May 7, 2004
    Oh yeah - my pic.

I HATE getting my picture taken! Senior pictures for about three hours and this was the last one taken. Frankley, I was a little annoyed by then
  • trumpetfalcon on May 7, 2004
    Hi

Yup, that's what the life of a military brat will get you She doesn't write often, my Mom, but this essay came out one day . . .

Yes, I've had an interesting life (even after the initial eight years), but for the longest time I thought my life was boring. It's all perspectives. I looked at other people and wished that I could have done what they did - and I started thinking about all of the things I have done and was amazed

My writing style is quite ecclectic, so reading from my lists might prove an easier way of sifting through all of my work

Always nice to meet someone new

PS - BDU stands for Battle Dress Uniform (camo pant )
  • F Etc on May 7, 2004
Well, your mother seems like an artist, i read that whole essay and it sounds like you had an interesting first 8 years! though you look pretty surly in your picture.

I've probably not done any of the things in that essay! except build a snowman and met my family! I mean wow, its crazy, i cant ever imagine fitting that much into my life.

you are lucky, but i'm sure you know that

I guess while I'm ehre I'll read you

    Oh and. what are BDU's?

  • Ecp on April 13, 2004
hmmmmm....interesting analogies, if actually found in any high school essays, some kids are either stupid, are extremely talented. if not, they're still hilarious!
  • Samplette on April 10, 2004
Hope you have a blessed Easter!!

  • trumpetfalcon on April 8, 2004
Real or fake, they make me laugh

Fear not, for I know that I have a horrible sense of humor I know plenty of 'good' jokes, but the terrible ones tickle my funny bone all the more

I came here to tell you, as Nando Tater did, that thoses excerpts from high school essays were hilarious!!

Ok, now this one just gave me the most interesting visual I've ever seen :

McBride fell 12 stories, hitting the pavement like a Hefty bag filled with vegetable soup.

That one was just so...graphic!! They were all very funny and rather amusing to read!! Thanks for adding a kick into my day, really, I needed it!!

    Christine

  • Nando Tater on March 31, 2004
Just waded through the excerpts from high school essays - if any of these were intentional (surely some had to be) I'd say there was some sort of comic brilliance at work.

"Shots rang out, as shots are wont to do."

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Ahhh, these were lovely - thanks for digging them up.

    -Nando-
  • Menohir on March 27, 2004
    geezzz...you have a brilliant record considering entry/trophy.
  • candy177 on March 25, 2004
OMG you have definitely led an interesting life, I'm assuming the other 11 yrs of it have not been dull and boring - rather filled with excitement and lots of travelling
  • trumpetfalcon on March 25, 2004
    Hmmm . . .

    Characters:

    Rand: for his 'humaness'
    Matt: for charm
    Perrin: for his loyalty
Min: because she is like me
    Loial: He reads books!
    Aviendha: for her strength
Egwene: because she has a good head on her shoulders
Elayne: because while at first she was fru-fru princess, now she has the makings of an honest Queen

There are so many wonderful characters - I'll probably continue adding to the list

    "Scenes":

When Aviendha Goes through her Wise One test

    Lines:

"Sa souvraya niende misain ye," he said aloud. "I am lost in my own mind." ~ Matrim Cauthon

    What about yours?
