Hey, I just commented on a few of your poems, so I thought I'd leave you a comment. As I said a few times before. I read your post in the forum about honest opinions on peoples poetry. It's a really great idea. I think It's going to help a lot of people, a lo. Lolzz. I don't know why, but yeah, I just feel that the last lines of your poems let them down a bit. I personally like it to be a.... Dead end. Like.... It's the end of something. I just don't feel like thats happening when I read yours. I really hope that that helps. You are a brilliant writter though. And I enjoyed reading your poems. I hope to hear from you soon with some advice on mine! xx

    I wish you still wrote.

I don't even remember how you used to write.

I am very different now. I would not agree with what I wrote to you earlier, anymore. I don't even think I agreed with it then. I think it's bullshit. I think self-harm is a crock, and that people do it because they can't accept their own fallacies and so they create problems outside themselves to alert other people to the disease inside. But then it backfires because as much pain as they are in- people love to wallow in pity.

Write more, and you will become a better person.

I understand that, I really do. And it's not something you just stop telling yourself. It's not something that will just go away. It's something that needs to be learned. You have to be angry enough and cut yourself and then know that no matter how much you bleed on the outside, on the inside, your heart is still bleeding because by acting out in that way, you make the pain permanent. You accept what is being done to you, and by cutting you etch it into yourself. I don't know if that helps, I don't even know if it makes sense. But the cutting makes it matter. The cutting makes it harder to tell yourself to stop. And pill popping is worse, because the more you do it, the more you sort of lean on it as a way out. And it isn't a way out, cause when the high wears off, you still have to face everything, and it's generally worse when you do.

I am your typical confused teen. I don't know what to believe. Most of the time I totally and completely know that those things don't help, but when it's actually the times I do it, everything is twisted around and all I can think about is how much I need to get out, or get my brain out. I don't know how to change my thoughts at those times.
  • Hiatus on September 21, 2004
I just got to your page and already I'm going to yell at you about Popping and Cutting. This is sad. I meant to read and critique your things. But popping and cutting are bad. I od'ed (seriously) on ibphrophen. I seriously poisioned my liver. I spent the night throwing up and the next week eating very small amounts of things because I wasn't sure if I could keep them down. Cutting doesn't solve anything. It just gives you a momentary release. The one thing I learned by overdosing that one time, though, was that sometimes it's better to spend the night throwing up then spend the next week blaming yourself for failures that aren't yours.
I shouldn't just spew this out because I don't know you, but I can't help it. I'm not saying it isn't your choice to pop and cut, what I'm saying is that you wake up and stop telling yourself that those things help, because they don't. They really don't.

Hey, I agree with what you said here. I'm in love with my children, in a completely maternal way -- but I feel a deeper love for them than I ever have for a man.

awesome, thanks! I'll check that out
  • on March 25, 2004
It sounds like you like to challenge yourself when you write. That's great! I think you might like a book called "The Practice of Poetry" edited by Robin Behn and Chase Twitchell (a couple of woman poets!). It has 92 exercises (or ideas) for getting poems started. Check it out, I think you'll be glad you did!
  • translucent on March 23, 2004

good stuff i hope this contest works out well for you
  • translucent on March 18, 2004
    uhh, let's see... here's a mini-contest all for you.
    1. write a poem about your favourite inanimate object/clothing
    2. write about what the voices tell you to do...that's right, the voices...and why or why not you listen to them
    3. write about the best cloud you've ever seen
    4. write about how you feel about your family as a whole, and/or what you'd change
    5. write about what you would take back if you could erase one thing you did in your life that you regret.

Alright, there's my ideas, brought on by late night and lots of coffee! IM me if you use one of these, it'll make my day.
That goes for anyone else out there too, feel free to use these, they would be in a contest if I had the points, so use them!

Also, you hav been added 2 my MSN, so I'm the new person that you don't know who it is.
  • WindUpEnigma on March 18, 2004
Oh, and I need an idea for more poetry, so challenge me!
  • WindUpEnigma on March 18, 2004
Yes...you do sound a lot like me ...but more like me about three years ago, but w/ the maturity I have now--what little I DO have newayz ...but yeah...I used to think I would never smoke, or have premarital sex, and that I would always have complete faith in God...my life is a series of failures, what can I say? Everything changes, I guess...
Hmm...a question...can't think of one right now. I will later though...and I have MSN too...yshyk_nxea@hotmail.com if you want to talk sometime.
  • lilworldruler on March 17, 2004

    hehe johnny depp rocks!
  • velvet on March 1, 2004
i would be invisible because i could go to johnny depps change room and watch the show... oh yea!
  • translucent on February 29, 2004
ummm... I think I would either have the power to become invisible or read people's minds, because then I would be able to find out why tf some people do what they do, or the power to fly because that would be so cool!
  • velvet on February 28, 2004
if you could have any power what would it be?
  • translucent on February 25, 2004
I own 5 pairs of socks that are actually worth counting, 4 that are not, 4 that I never wear, and if i'm really desparate, there are always a pair of communal family socks floating around my house, but eww, no thanks! And when I get sum money, I am going to get myself some new socks, yay!
  • Rainna on February 25, 2004
Neat idea about that pants. Maybe I'll try something like that but not on my pants though. Me mum would freak! As to which day of the week to get rid of, I think I would get rid of Thursday. You've gone through Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday already..Who wants to go through ONE MORE day just to get to Friday!? Not me! So I vote to X out Thursday ~Rainna~
  • isa on February 25, 2004
