If we could change the world through what we wrote, this world would be a better place. Thanks for your comment on my poetry, I appreciate it, but I still like to believe that if I or any other decent person were president and had the fate on the world on their shoulders, money would not be an issue.

It's actually a really good movie, one of those that make you think at the end about all the symbolism in it, you should get it, I think you'll enjoy it because I did and we have the same genes right?
  • NoWayJo on October 10, 2006
from Orwell's 1984? I like the background and though I have no idea as to what the Donnie Darko movie is about, this is a cool background too. Strange how we both like a lot of the same songs, the same musicians, it'll probably take me ages to know who Donnie Darko is!!!

yeah right now I am trying to find a cool background, this is from the movie Donnie Darko, really cool movie. Nice to hear from you, BTW, did you like the Bush thing, it was from the book 1984, I am trying to be creative...

I'm really laughing so hard here! I just clicked "Submit Comment" and it comes back from George Bush to this devilish background!

Wondering what will come next AFTER I'm done reading your latest poem!!!

Just coming by your page to get to your latest poem, Charna since AP keeps blinking me offline whenever going through the FAV-List. I like the new "decor," and leave it to you to even make a statement by your page and the quotes and info of yourself you have here. And the quote you yourself had written--PERFECT! If ever I come to one of those Quote Contests here on AP, I'll be sure to pass you over a link to post entry with this one!

So I'm off to read your latest, already so very intrigued by the title, and you take care Girl!

Hi again tarnishedheart - read the entire page here - interesting - I see you love G.W. Bush - lol - as much as I do - lol - I am a Christian that thinks G.W. Bush is not - or he did'nt check with his cammander in chief before commiting your young men and woman into an ungodly war based entirley on lies. will read some of your works for sure - but 99 poems is a big read. I have taken a liking to you - you have style- and you are welcome to Canada as far as I'm concerned - and every service person that does not want to be a part in the evil attack on the people of Iraq should be given refugee status here. Your fellow AP friend - Joe

Hi there Tarnished! I like your George Bush "Big Brother" montage. You know, George isn't really so bad. He is just doing what the big money makers want him to do. We all know how money talks don't we? Maybe if we can learn to be satisfied writing beasutiful poetry like you, the world will change. How's that for a challenge for you and allus, huh?
  • tarnishedheart on September 22, 2006
Thanks for your comments! My dad is a huge John Lennon fan, and he passed it down to me. I wish he was still alice today, just think of what a difference he could make.
  • DawnBaby on September 22, 2006
I love your page, I was reading "Imagine" by John Lennon and I so loved him as well. Just thinking what pertinence that song holds right at this moment in time is so absolutely amazing. He is one man who can never be replaced, I think he was truly ahead of his time. Thank you for reminding me on your page. Peace poet!

If it wins anything, I'll divide the points between you and the other two bridesmaids and the little SuperGirl/flower-girl too!

When we blindly adopt a religion, a political system, a literary dogma, we become automatons. We cease to grow.
Anais Nin DEAR TARNISHED HEART! I am a 61 year old poet on Allpoetry.com. I have read your statements, psychology major! I have come to wonder what makes people think they are so important in the scheme of things that such a thing as Karma would go to all that trouble, especially when you see the increasingly assinine way the so called brilliant minds of the world's sick egos insist on thinking in today. Using kids in their war tactics,etc.etc. No, mankind is well deserving of death and ever lasting non-exitence hereafter.
  • Kahlan4 on July 4, 2006
thanks for the comment, glad to have entered your contest, it was fun
  • Shane Toona on May 10, 2006
Thank you for your kind words. I too hope others will read it and see the lyric as a prespective, and identify with it. Maybe inspire others to never stop questioning, in doing so lies much reward.
  • HurryImFalling on May 8, 2006
Umm thank you. I still feel kinda new to this poetry thing. I feel like I have alot to learn, and I really appreciate your comment. You seem like a cool person and I really enjoy reading your poems. So now I'm blabbing.

trying to find your name on the poet's list tonight to connect to your page I find 1. TarnishedHeart--(YOU) and 2. TarnishedHeartsMan--(???).

you not telling Mom something over here, Girl??? Mom's have a right to know, you know!!!

just to let you know there's a new contest up for poems about sex, drugs and rock-n-roll. I don't think it has to qualify for all three, but knowing your music inspirations--(and loving a lot of those same bands too), figure must have something in your catalogue of poems--(prewrites are accepted) or even the inspiration for a new write. it seems a while since I've read a new Chauna poem! anyway, if you need a link to the contest, let me know. and I hope all's been good for you.

I’ve never seen myself as a link… to anything; indeed, if you imagine a short scene where the strings of many helium balloons are maliciously severed – I would be the scissors… but thanks for the note – I always enjoy a few words when I pop in – and good luck with the contestˇ!

Thanks for the comment, but it isn't the dreams that are horrible, they are an extasy that is beyond words, it the waking, and seeing that it wasn't true, that my nightmares reign in the day.
