LilMrsAttitude on November 7, 2007I'm so sorry that life has thrown you so many curves. I struggled with bulimia when I was in high school, and when I lost so much weight everyone congratulated me. I was truly thin for the 1st time in my life. Granted I was never fat in high school either, I always had that influence from friends... that peer pressure if you will... to be thin. I'm now 25 and far from skinny. Working my way back to a healthy weight... the healthy way. Then the summer after my high school graduation, my mother passed away unexpectedly. Not only was I bulimic but due to depression, people had to force feed me (not literally, just not letting me leave until I ate what was on my plate.) Then in the midst of all the stress on my mind and body, I got drunk for the 1st time in my life... without food in my body I got alcohol poisoning.
Good luck in your day-to-day fight and I respect you so much for living with your struggle while raising an autistic child. Kudos to you on being such a strong mother and woman.
