I don't normally comment on author pages but after reading and thoroughly enjoying three of yer pieces... how could I not? ... Well, quite easily actually. I coulda just gone and got me a bowl of Fruit Loops or started my laundy. But those would have entailed moving and well... yeah... you know.

Oh... and you have some great taste there, madam. I love me some Simpsons, MST3K and the Young Ones!

"I'm gonna live with underground grama!"

"Look! It's Julie Andrews... and she's on fire!"

"Oh no, I'll die if I miss 'Scooby-Doo'!"

    ...Yeah... i'm sad. ... ...

lmao "mystery science theatre 3000"?? Isn't that the one where these guys (including a few puppets) sit in a movie theatre to watch an old B-movie, and they try and make it comical by making jokes about it?? lmao. "Err...should we be seeing this?" when theres a man with a joystick between his legs. Yeah, lol, made me giggle, but It's nothing to talk about lol. Anyone who finds that funny (including me) needs their head checked. It was a late night movie with only one star, for gods sake!!
  • E A Collins on August 5, 2005
Tom Waits for no one. He was great in Mystery Men
  • TillyMay on July 9, 2005
A pint of Cola it is! Cheers for the kind words and comments. x
  • TillyMay on July 6, 2005
Our favourite books list is very similar...as well as our comedy tastes. That settles it, Jen. Next time I'm in Texas, I'm buying you pint, and we're going to have a laugh (or two), providing we've taken our meds and I can get a weekend pass...They don't let me out without me helmet much anymore, but I reckon I can cover it with a cowboy hat and no one in Texas would notice much.

Click on it twice and I think you'll have it. I hope so, anyway, or else it's not working at all!
  • Wesley Storer on June 11, 2005
I clicked on the little camera with the blue shutter but nothing came up, dear felonious, so I guess you will have to reamin a mystery. Tom Waitts! Got it! I'll have to check his vibes out! Thank you.
  • sock monkey on June 10, 2005
LOL That picture is of Tom Waits, my favorite singer/song writer/composer/musician, which I'm sure you know now--at least the name of Tom Waits. His lyrics are poetry. MY face is in the category "What I Look Like" on this page up there.

How about Johnny Winter? Isn't he the greatest? Is that your picture up above? That face sure shows alot of character. Such expression. You could be a famous actor for all anyone would know. Thanks for reading Mina. Keep on keepin' on bro!
  • Wesley Storer on May 14, 2005
Thanks 35 year old Texas Gal! Well at first I thought Tom Watts was Lyle Lovette. My mistake! SAY! You ever go down to Joe's Generic Club? Is that old skinny dude still there who plays the electric guitar blues so well? I was there about 15 years ago now I guess. I was very impressed! I wished him a merry Christmas and he said "Merry fucking Christmas, ho ho ho". He was cool! Thanks for liking my poem "Doing nothing is doing something" It is really beat isn't it?
  • sock monkey on May 13, 2005
Wow, you can make birds... cool.

I would love to put a new Tom Waits picture up there, but I don't know how to do it, even with Photo Shop! I need a computer geek to rescue me pronto big time.
  • sock monkey on February 15, 2005
Well, I obviously need another break. To write and to remember to spell-check any fake names in the future.
  • silica on February 15, 2005
I think you left an Oh out… felonious? I thought who the heck is that… didn’t there used to be more of you?
  • Barbara on February 13, 2005

I changed my name! So don't panic, everyone, it's not identity crisis. I merely wanted to "cloak" myself from certain non members. Call it "Self-Identity Theft". Ha ha, I'm some kinda thief of myself. I'm always stealing my things...
  • silica on January 19, 2005
Poor Tom’s looking old… he’s finally beginning to look like he sounds…
  • sock monkey on January 18, 2005
I need Java, the photoshop thing, not the drink.
  • silica on January 17, 2005
Thanks for calling – always nice to see a friendly face! I don’t think there is anything much very clever about the pic. I just liked the idea of the reflection (kind of beauty and the beast) which is of course a fake… pasted in with photoshop. If you want or need any help with photo manipulation just shout, I’ve done quite a bit of photo repair work – or Lisa (whims) L A Bennett is very good too. As to lazy… I think it’s suppose to be fun not work… I find that some days ‘the music’ is rather more subdued than others – particularly true of rhyme, for me anyway.

  • Krishnaa on January 4, 2005

I was going to comment that you look like Tom Waites -- which is really a compliment, because looks and intellect go hand in hand ..

then I read what your page said, and realized that I don't know what the hell you look like -- but I will compliment you on your taste, anyway.
  • sock monkey on January 3, 2005
I think you can find those in a lot of places. Like bookstores and toystores that aren't owned by faceless corporations! And you can make one if you get desperate, I suppose, just send off for the instructions, and look on the net, and don't worry about Dave, he will not send you one because he is probably grouch! Did you see that clip from "Cabin Boy", where Letterman asks, "Would you like to buy a monkey" or something, and then he spoofed it on the Oscars? That was soooo funny.
  • SEA angel on January 3, 2005
I LOVE the poet name sock monkey. I always wanted a sock monkey and wrote and BEGGED for the one David Letterman had on his show. I didn't get an answer. I wonder why??? LOL

  • sock monkey on December 30, 2004
Yes I have. I liked his part in the film, bitching with Iggy Pop! Those two seem a good fit. Both rebellious and alternative and strange and funny. Also I like when Tom is in a movie, so that when I say his name, people go "who?" and I just say, "you know that guy in that movie", and they say, "Oh!"
  • NoUseForAName on December 30, 2004
As a Tom Waits fan, have you seen Coffee and Cigarettes?
  • RollingStone on December 25, 2004
