Yes! We should all write a poem together. It'll be awesome. I have never written one with more than one other person either. This will be an interesting experience .
  • metrophobiac on April 25, 2006
slaughter, a pleasure to meet you as well. I consider it an honor to make your acquaintance. James has been quite kind to me, and it pleases me he says nice things. Makes me smile to meet good people. I will look through my stuff and submit something. Much of my work here is a process, of an evolutionary one. I only truly started writing poetry about 6 or 7 months ago. But I leave my old stuff sometimes to document my progress. Part of who I am, honesty on the page. Why hide the process, it makes you who you are.

Must go...lol, star trek rerun is on. Talk to you soon. Bekah

    1:31 a.m.

    love is
    an h-bomb
    dead
    from loose
    wiring.

    it explodes
    an inch
    from the
    heart
    & what is
    left
    gleams.

    yes
    our skin
    changes
    like
    a cloud
    of grit
    but there
    is
    life in
    these
    bones
    yet.

    .....

    To you
    darling
    for your
    authors
    page.

Hi slaughter – I have been sorting through your recent poems with a view to making a meaningful comment as you have requested – But sadly I am like a beer drinker trying to expound on the joys of rare wines – I am at a complete loss. I could of course attempt to make something up – but connoisseurs such as you and James would spot my shortcomings a mile away – but I will still look from time to time. Who knows, one day I might find something that aligns with my simple mind-set - and I can make an intelligent remark without looking foolish.
    Best Wishes – Albert.

    there is a quiet surrounding
    transparent breath
    lingering-
    full of innocence, age
    and this irreplacable
    state of being.

your page makes me feel inspired.
  • crisstiena on April 15, 2005
Thought it was time I came by to say hello and how are you.
Haven't seen you or James for ages. Mostly my own fault as
I have been off-line a lot lately. Just want you to know
I think of you often and miss our little chats.
Much love to you ~ crisstiena

It is so good to see you back, hun. What a surprise it was to see your note. I hope to hear from James as well.
Have you two been hiding behind a potted palm or something?
Stick around for a while this time. I feel inspiration in the air. Can ya feel it? Another month and the trees will be budding and summer is just around the corner. I just can't wait cause hubby promised me a new puppy this spring. I think I'm ready for a new start. So be prepared for lots of fuzzy puppy poems coming your way... LOL
    Lots of hugs and laughter

Hey to you too sweetie ~
I am in much the same mind as you lately. Sick and tired of
being sick and tired. And it pissed me off big time when we
lost our comments in the big crash not so long ago. The medusa is leaving me alone right now, although she did try creeping back.
So, you and James are hunky dory, are ya? I am so glad to hear that. I miss you guys too. I am slowly getting myself back together so should be in touch more often.
lots a hugs and kisses for my favorite guys ~ criss

Thank you, shadow, I like your new name. I think it fits your personality a little more. I agree that the background is a bit bright, but my page changes all the time, so look foward to new colors and picture eventually, when I renew my membership. I think this time I am going to go gold rather than silver.

    James says hi.

    love,

  • ca ne fait rien on February 22, 2005
Just to say I have just read all the poems you have posted here. You do not need any individual comments of mine to add to what you have, but I wanted to say that individually and as a whole, they at once make me feel elated and humbled. I especially liked the way you treated 'A firm fit' and 'Spurts and Spasms', but 'Embracing me like a sore' blew me away. May you and James have every success you fully deserve , and I look forward to seeing your books. Stefan

Yes he's been misbehaving, you need to tie him down and spank him before it's too late. You don't sound too sure about ur gender. Get back to me on that.

I know some people are worrying about the profanity around this community. But wait, if there are taboos, that means there are still oppressions. And a free-willed poet is to liberate the oppressed and topple the established. As to rebellious writing, I hope you can read "Got Punked; Chad Davidson on Rebellious Verse" (American Poetry Review, Nov. 11 issue.)

By the way, "Requiem for a Dream" is a divine movie for the times. This picture sequence you've posted up on your author page is just perfect with reality of all that is alive and breathing...

I just read "living from the pillbox"
You have no idea how "on the mark" you are.
Someone once told me "You see beauty where others fail to notice and you feel things deeply." I think that about covers it for most of us.
    Hugs

Never worry about getting over to me I do understand. This time of year just seems to always be full of things that pop up. Just when you think you have all the balls in the air something happens to toss another into the fray.
I hope everything smooths out for you and you have time to stop by soon. You need to read "Yet Another Mile" I wrote it after reading one of James' poems but I think it suits you as well...
    Mega Hugs
