-LilacThOughts- : Ambushed! on April 20, 2007Hi there
Guess what? You’ve been ambushed! The group, ‘The poetic Bandits’ do something called Hood-Wink, where we all come together with one chosen poet and comment on their poetry. You were the chosen poet. Hope you were encouraged by this and found it to be a blessing. Keep up the great writing and thank you for your contributions through poetry on this site.
All the best...

Polaja on December 5, 2005It is 8:50pm.
I might have to try that . . . not the therapy thing . . . I can function fine . . . it's just when I'm alone . . . and everything crashes down on me.
I do meditate . . . I am a Qabalist . . . not that Kabbalah Center . . . that is not (in my veiw) a legitimate organisation for teaching the esoteric knowledge of the 'Yoga Of The West' . . . but I'll stop right there . . . because I am known to rant about this topic quite a bit.
Thankyou . . .
Pol
P.S. I tried to send this as a message but it wouldn't work. -

silversoliloquysong on September 9, 200520 years, wow, that is both tragic and impressive. sounds like he fought the good fight, but it is good that he is no longer at war with his body. Now to bed for me, it was good talking to you, and thanks again for the poem I am reading tomorrow

swanpool on September 9, 2005Thank you for your kind words, and I know exactly what you mean, grandad had spent most of the last 20 years battling cancer, and the last 18 months have been terrible, so in a strange way it was a relief to see him finally released! Yes he has left a hole, but one that can be filled by some very happy memories.

silversoliloquysong on September 9, 2005Thanks for your words of support and encouragement. i've really felt surprisingly little grief, because he was ready to go: he told my mother so the last time he saw her, and because his body was a weak, pained, useless prison at the end: that is why your poem, For Grandad, is perfect--it expresses the relief that he is no longer trapped in the vessel that was only suffering. of course i miss him, but i'm sure we will meet again someday, in different forms....
I'm sorry about your Grandad, as well. He must have been a wonderful man to inspire such a beautiful poem. We will never lose all the gifts that they gave us, and their love will be in our hearts always.
Take Care, C~ -
swanpool on September 9, 2005Thank-you for your kind comments on Grandad, I am sorry that you too are grieving, and I hopr that tomorrows ceramony goes well. Of course I don't mind you using my poem, infact I would be honoured. Take care, Swanpool

silversoliloquysong on August 19, 2005You didn't turn me into an inernet junkie, just re-directed my junkie tendencies toward things that are more constructive & interactive than Bounce Out & Mah Jong. THANKS!
