shadowlyn infinitas on July 23, 2006thank you for the reccomendation, i'm always looking for great books to read. always nice to hear from someone who shares similar book interest. you should definitely read 'sweetblood' (a teen fiction novel with a different twist on vampirism) as well as classic ones like those by anne rice if you haven't already. great works of literature. thanks again for the tip! best wishes

shadowlyn infinitas on April 9, 2006those are very strange coincidences! i love my music so much and i guess you do too! i don't know what i'd do without it! i'm sorry that the people at your school treat you like that. it's so sad that your teachers keep leaving! i hope that the ones you have that your sister had will come to realize that just because you are related does not mean that you are the same! i'm the oldest in my family, so i guess i'm the one who creates those expectations, but i'm still feel for you, good luck with everything! my depression comes from.. my life, as cliche as that sounds i guess. i have great friends who help me to get through the darkest times, so i guess its mostly my family. i guess you could call it a feeling of never feeling like you're worth anything and that no one cares what's going on in your head and heart and that you must be perfect at all costs... ::sad now:: but yeah, right now i'm trying to move beyond the pain in my house to living for what goes on outside. i hope everything gets better for you and best of luck with your writings! keep the music and poetry strong!

Shakari on April 9, 2006Hey there! Well, we are both in the Contests For Teens book. We sound very alike...weird. We are both Sophomores, we both write poetry, love music(sing, play, hum it 24/7), play the same instruments....IT IS WEIRD! We even live in the same country...but I live in Illinois, which smooths the weirdness out. Well, it says here that you are sixteen, and I am turning sixteen...so that is another different thing.
I wonder though, does your depression come from school and the people there? I mean, I love being there to learn, but a lot of the people make me feel depressed...sometimes I don't even want to leave home because of it. Some of the teachers are also always on my back, denying me the right to a lot of things because of my siblings....or so, my mother thinks. My sister was not a geek, but I kind of am...and her role in torturing students the teachers liked, getting on the teachers' nerves...etc, did me in. Luckily, only 2 of the teachers that taught when my sister attended school will teach next year. A lot of the staff at our school quits...and you can never get used to a teacher. We liked our Spanish/English teacher that we just got this year, but her daughter was having seizures...she had to quit...we got a new teacher who is a bit creepy.
Our gym teacher who was awesome, left for Iraq, and we got a new one...a better one...but he has made a few mistakes and is forced into leaving after the year is over.
Hmmm...so yeah. I hope all is well for you.
