Keith on December 24, 2005Thank you so much for your generous comments on my poems. I just thought I'd drop in to say a few words. You have a real talent for language and poetic form which makes your work stand out from the crowd, so to speak. Much of the writing on here is really only prose split into lines, and it's nice to read some verses which go beyond that. You also have a feel for unusual subject matter, which is refreshing after reading endless verses on how much the world/ my parents/ my bofriend/girlfriend hate me. Keep up the writing, and I wish you all the best for 2006.

Man of Harlech on July 26, 2005I am answering some of your remarks and questions. Sorry about the mispelling-I do that because I an hopelessly lazy. I am sure that this poem was correct in every way. When writing about a historical subject I don't think there is a whole lot we can add, unless some new information has been uncovered. Jeanne has become more a subject of legend than history. I visited a small chapel that she supposedly worshiped in. It gave me a feeling about her but not any facts to file away. I had an image of a true believer type who was very much alone with her beliefs and quite vulnerable to other people's whims and fancies. She would have screamed and cried and burped and urped just like anyone else. Such a person did not come through to me; in fact I looked at other people's comments to find out who this person was. Then, of course, I recognised that you had done a good piece of work. I just would like to see something on Jeanne d'Arc that has her totally go bonkers in the midst of the flames.

sans.paroles on November 13, 2004Actually my name comes from the Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkein, you might have heard of the movies, they came out a while ago, and many people saw them. Glad you liked the McGee poet, I guess I'll take the comparison as a compliment!

invested on November 12, 2004I remember I read the poem of sam mcgee or whatever in school, that was always their favorite poem to have us read. It was pretty good, it had nice flow, I don't know I kind of liked it...I'll tell you what I mean I could see why it was famous and it was better than almost every other poem I read in school other than Dance Russe and some poem about a rich guy killing himself. Is that where your name came from?

'Cause I am trying to decide which one to feature or if I will feature any of them at all. I might have to write a new one to feature...hmmm..so many things to ponder. I have to many points and I am to lazy to make a contest. So why not give them out to people? (with the incentive of reading my poem)
