Oh you'll have to look more into Joni. She also wrote and originally recorded "Big Yellow Taxi" -- you know, the one that goes "They paved paradise and put up a parking lot." Yup, and I love Carole and Jackson. Don Henley's good too; I don't know as many of his.
-
Oh my! Someone after my own heart! I love the song River, By Joni Mitchell. Sometimes I crank it up in my truck and sing my heart out. I have to admit though, that's the only song I really know by her. Also, I noticed that you like Carole King. I grew up listening to her album with my mom, and I know every one of her songs. Jackson Browne as well. I also love Don Henley. I will have to check you out later when I have more time! ~ Harper

Andy, i am sorry that my coment offended you. as to the walking a mile in your shoes how far do i have to walk. i probably know more about cutting than you give me credit for. i my self from the time i was about 5 or 6 years old used to take apart my mothers razor and think about suiside .... yah too young i found out the hard way where cutting can lead. and now that i am an adult i have learned so much about why people start to cut in the first place. i have learned to live to feel pain and joy and to find love, and i do not need to have a blade tell me that. now i know it for what it is mudilation, but i guess you havent got that far in your cutting days. i guess your mother never found you in a pool of blood on the bathroom floor. and i guess you have never been through the counceling they give you when they put you in a padded cell and all you want is some loving touch to stop the pain you still have even when the blade slices in to you. but shit i guess my own mile hasnt been enough so let me know what it is you think i need to do to be able to have that opinion with out making you feel as if i have been descriminating and crewl to those who still cut? perhaps you should ask me what it feels like when they shock your heart to bring you back cause you have turned pail and your lips are blue. dont be so quick to judge me either. i used to be just like you. but i think that to condone those things makes other mothers loose what they hold most dear. and if my words can stop someone from taking their life i would rather say that and open my arms to hug them. i am not proud of my cutting scars and hopefully your accedental cutting doesnt lead you to knock on deaths door like it did me.

Hmmm. Try just coming back to my author page and click on the link for The Joni Mitchell Fan Club up there right above the trophies where it tells what groups I'm in. If that doesn't work, try going to the list of groups and search for the group. I hope it works, because I would really love to have you in the group!
~Andy

Hey you've got Crash and Burn on here. I thought I was the only person in the world that still listens to it. Huh. Anyway, for some reason I thought you were alot older than you are, you were born in 90, wow that makes me feel so old. Anywayz, I just thought you'd like to know that I think you are a wonderful writer and have a really good heart. Thank you for commenting on my contest as well.....
~ Dena ~

Yeah, you're not the first person to tell me a story similar to my own there. That type of thing is going on for more people than I would have expected. It's awful. Your story is different from any other I've heard.
Yeah, Savage Garden is great. And that song is really 90s. . . . Maybe that's one of the things I love about it.
Thanks for your comment there.
~Andy
-
sorry for commenting so much on your page and taking up space, but I just had to tell you this:
That thing with your grandparents and all, just know your family isn't alone on that. My mom and Grandmother stopped talking a while back because my mom (who is quite the abuser) started messing with me. Then my sister called my grandmother who told my mom to shove off and quit "doing her s*** with us" so then my mom got all pissy that my grandmother was "telling her how to raise her family" and they haven't spoken since. Wow, that's a good way to make a long story short!
And I love savage garden- that song is seriously 90s.
Brooke
-
yes, i am. why do you ask?
-
another thing- are you in marching band?!
-
Wow you write some great poetry. You're lucky to have such a gift and even luckier to have a girlfriend who shared your gift. I'm talking to her right now and from the sound of it our relationships have a thing or two in common. visit my site sometime - not all the poetry is about love but from what tiffany says, it's half way decent.
-
Yes, that's a great song. I love it! Savage Garden is great.
-
HAPPY EASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No chance they'd know me. I've been gone from there for many years. My father still lives there, but I haven't been back there in a long time.
It just surprised me when I saw where you lived.
Jim
-
Well, that's cool. My mom lives in Wayland. I'll have to ask Brad about a Jim Dunlap or next time I get the chance to talk to him.
~Andy
-
I have no idea. I doubt it, but then again, who knows. My father lives in Wayland, and I have a long lost cousin around there somewhere named John.
Anyway, have a great day.
Jim Dunlap
-
Well, that's cool! Might you be related to Brad Dunlap, who goes to my high school?
~Andy
-
I was surfing through and noticed that you live in Clark County Missouri. I went to high school there, and my father still lives there. It just struck me odd that you live there, as I haven't thought about the place for a long time now.
