(bursts in, sings at the top of her lungs)

Sing a song of birthday cheer...
    Lift your head and smile,
    Your special day is here!
And we all know that you're from above,
So we flock in droves to shower you with love.

I'll sing this song since it's all I have
And whether it makes you cry or makes you laugh
I hope every wish and dream comes true...
Celebrate this regal day, it's all about you!

    Happy Birthday!

That was impromptu, maybe I can come up with something better for the contest, eh?

    Many blessings,

    Raven Aurora

I am confused about some of the details on your latest competition - "comment on others work and in the author's
notes write the names of the poem and poet you viewed" What are the authors notes?

I won't be back until January 4th, after all the festivities. Therefore, I will leave you with my benedictions in advance. I hope that you have naught but joy and happiness to look forward to in the year ahead. As for me....my future looks tenebrous, but that's always...

Just wanted to stop by, and say Merry Christmas, queenie! Even though I've not known you as long as some others on the site, I wanted you to know how very much I've appreciated your kindness to me! You are such a gracious lady, and I appreiate that so very much! You're also one of the most gifted poets on this site, and I'm beyond honored that you take time to "read me!" I hope that at this most wonderful of all holidays, you find yourself surrounded by the people that you love and cherish most! May the Love that is "the reason for the season" be in your heart now, and throughout the coming New Year! Merry Christmas!

    I don't approve of Kevin's new " Everyone see's our favorites list " feature.

    allpoetry.com/poem/906548

You may go here to read more....Don't worry , You're still going
to be featured on my authors page , but I feel that some of my hard
earned rights as a poet and reader are being taken away.

Change is good , But not at the cost of people's opinions...

Sorry , But this is how I feel , I will have to use the hard way
and check back from time to time on all my favorites from my
    page.

Much respect and love to you ,
    james

This background is so soothing. Very cool. Thank you so much for always being such a great friend. You made my day. I apprecitate it very much
  • poetryality on November 6, 2004
Thank you so much dear sister/friend for all the kind and thought provoking comments left on my pages today. I am humbled that you think of me in so many splendid ways. Our poetry must reflect the reality of the lives we live. Sure we can be creative and use our vivid imaginations, but there is such a need to address so many issues that affect us daily. We do have power in the written word, in one word the Lord formed the earth, brought about light and created humans. We must make our voices known in all measures of writing, and life, since "it be a gift", given by God so that we will never be muted. Again, I thank you for your lovingkindness. You are one of the many reasons I write!

Hi, my queen. This is an invitation to join a new group I’ve started at AP. I’ve named the group “Kindred Souls”, and it will be an “invitation-only” group of folks I’ve come to admire and respect on AP. I’ve never sponsored a group before, so I’m a little fuzzy about all the “ins and outs”, but I’m hoping this will prove to be a positive way for many of us to connect.

During the recent AP gremlins attack, I had the horrid thought that AP might disappear…and with it all the wonderful folks I’ve come to know and love here. I decided that the first thing I was going to do when I got back on AP was connect with each of my AP friends and heroes, and make sure I had other ways to make contact…just in case. The idea for this group grew from that original idea.
So, if you’d like to RSVP and join this group, please follow this link : allpoetry.com/Application/875428 and fill out the “application form”. I don’t know of a way around this part of the process, so I will just send an acceptance as soon as I get your RSVP (AKA: “application”). I hope you will decide to join me, and the other wonderful folks I’m inviting to this little group. If you’ve any ideas on how to make it fun or work better, please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Deb Thomas (AKA: MuseStalker)

My truest poem are the one i mentioned b4 and also my friend. It isnot as good but it means everything to me!Thank YOU!

  • jaunty pill on October 19, 2004
Sometimes I honestly believe this IMing system is faulty , So I sent it here so you could read it and get back to me.

Anout your contest.....Does that mean that I'm disqualifed hun? Because I chose a historical / realistic queen to write about? I sure hope not...That took a lot of work....

    Love to you ,
    James

    Hi Queenie!

I am just flitting across many people's pages... (yes, I am really that bored, lol) and read, for the umpteenth time, your biography on here. One line stood out to me above all:

"I am a happily single woman who resides in Brooklyn, N.Y."

I would give just about anything to be able to say that. Not the part about living in Brooklyn--I don't know if I am quick enough to keep up with the New York City lifestyle, lol...but the part about being happy and single. I've never been happy single--and not too much better off in relationships, I have noticed. Bleh. I admire you...you feel whole by yourself. I hope that one day, I feel whole period...with or without someone.

    Many blessings,

    Raven Aurora

Hello! What's new with you my dear queen? It's been so long...Maybe later I can meander over to see what's going on in your little realm of poetry.

    Love to you ,

  • Almighty Aphrodite on September 28, 2004
I have a question for you.

It is not personal, just in case you are wondering

What do you do when everyone around you seems to be happy in relationship matters, and you are the only one that is lonely and depressed about it? I have been losing sleep over this issue, though it seems picayune compared to some people's problems. I am invisible and a nonentity in a swamp of some 8,000 faces here at the school I attend. I have never been able to handle being alone; it is not like I am an unfriendly person, but I do not have many people out in "real life" to whom I can relate. I don't have transportation, so I can't go anywhere much...and even if I did have a car, there aren't that many places where I live to go and meet people. I feel like I am destined to be alone. All of the relationships I've been in--what few I've managed to foster in the first place--have failed. For all of my so-called beauty, I cannot attract a decent man. I must be cursed as either I get overlooked or hit on by complete and utter losers. (sigh) I do not want to keep waiting for "Prince Charming" to come along. He must not exist.

What can I do to remedy this problem?

I know my screen name says that I am a queen, but right now I don't feel like too much of one.

    Many blessings,

    Raven Aurora

Yay, I'm on the inspiring list! *dances* ..and it is few good poets like you who inspire me to be inspiring. You're also one of the site's great angels. Take care, and keep writing =)

Woman! Where have you been?! I have missed you! I didn't know if anything was wrong or if you had fallen ill, I was getting very worried! Have you written any new poems lately? I miss reading what you have to say. lol, I apologize for not saying anything about the screen name change--I had been thinking about switching for a long time, and one day I woke up and said "okay, I'm gonna be someone else today." But I'm glad you were able to find me! Hope all is well and that you get back into the swing of things soon!

    Many blessings,
