    Hello Lady,

I know I owe you a return call. I have to do that! I usually stay very quiet when I feel disturbed. I did something dumb that almost took me aback 10 years and have been writing and going to meetings to keep my sanity. I'm okay, just a bit shaken. Nothing so terrible that I have any regret, just some anguish, and anger at myself. I'm really cool actually. I think the Lord had to make me see who is really in charge is all. We will talk soon. I hope all is well with you and yours.

    Blessings & Love,,
    Renee

    My Dears Sister/Friend,

I just stopped by to say THANK YOU for taking the time to listen and encourage me. Ryan and I went to court today. He made sure we were late. My car is down and he picked me up 20 minutes after his appointed time to be in court. We have to go back tomorrow (this morning). I am going to get some rest now and I'll call you sometime later to tell you what's going on. Again THANK YOU so much for being there for me.

    All My Love,
    Renee

Hey you! I found your note on my guestbook. I've neglected you shamefully, my friend, but I hope to correct that tonight! Chances are very good that I'll be giving you a call later tonight, so be prepared to talk until your jaws are numb! (My "main squeeze" will be out tonight, so that'll leave us free to talk as long as we want!) I've missed you terribly, and hope that I haven't really worried you! I'm fine.....just busy as a one-armed paper hanger! Talk to you soon!

But that's only 'cause I'm working like a Trojan! Who has time to get into trouble? I hope this Christmas finds you exactly where you want to be; surrounded by those you love the most! Hey girl! I've missed you too! Just been busy, though. Meeting myself coming, and going! And yeah....we do need to plan another time to visit by phone! You can't know how much I've enjoyed our visits each time, and what an honor, and priviledge it is, to be able to talk with you! I'm so grateful that the Lord allowed our paths to cross here on the site! You've been a constant source of help and encouragement to me, through your beautiful poetry, and through our visits by phone! I'll see if I can't work something out in the next couple of weeks, and we'll settle down to another long visit, and try to solve the world's problems! I love you, my friend! Take care, and I look forward to talking to you soon!

    Hi Joyce,

Thank you for checking upon me...I am fine, even though many of us have been without power for a week and a half. So many evacuees from the south (and I disdain of calling them "refugees", they didn't come here seeking asylum from some other country) have come to our city that the modest capital of 200,000 now is twice that size if not more so. I am fortunate to have fared as well as I did.

I have answered the question, "were you impacted by the storm?" so many times that now I feel like a news reporter! I want to see significant improvements in safety made--the Coast wouldn't have lost their livelihoods if the casinos could be built on land instead of being forced to riverbats, and the levees in New Orleans should've been built to withstand a Category 5 hurricane instead of two levels down. Did the officials there think this was never going to happen to them?

It's a sad situation. I have no money but am trying to help all I possibly can.

I hope you have been well.

    ~love always, Raven

Thank you so much for your words of support and encouragement on my poetry. You have made my coming to AllPoetry a great pleasure. I appreciate all that you have said in each comment. Bless you for the inspiration.

It seems that I have been met with on-going opposition from one person for "Today's Beat" but I think I handled it well.

The first words on your website, I am not a poet, are ones I often use for myself. I even wrote a rhyme on that theme
    allpoetry.com/Poem/1303492
I have enjoyed reciting it at folk clubs and poetry meetings when folk get a bit too precious about their writings.
I like the background here. It reminds me of raindrops on a lake.

Hi Joyce, I've up the word count on my contest to 600 so if you wish you can elaborate on your story 'The First Kill' if you so choose. Thank you for entering and now I have to alert the other contestants as well. I also changed the closing date to 09/01/05 to allow for more entries and to allow contestants to make adjustments on their stories. Avril

What images do you need to convert? If you have bitmaps (.bmp), you can save them in their original format first, then go back to "save as" in whatever imaging program you have, even if it's just paint, and scroll down on your format list, clicking on the .jpg or .gif extension.

I hope that helped...if not, let me know and I'll try to convert them for you.
