lordoftherings on December 24, 2005I just stopped by today
Hope you are having a wonderful day
That's festive and really gay
Because I would have it no other way
Champagne at midnight...bootie call,
watch out for St. Nick, he ain't that tall
Drink moderately so you don't fall
And if you're quesy--lean against the wall
What started out as a little note
Became a poem the size of a boat
My head is medically afloat
My dog has now turned into a goat
Happy Holidays Gregg

poetryality on April 19, 2005I was just looking over the notes on the sonnet you left for me. I still have it at eight syllables but I swear I got the meter right. LOL Hope all is well.

poetryality on December 5, 2004Hi!
I hope all is well with you and that your holidays are filled with cheer and glad tidings. Be blessed and take good care.
I read your poem, and I too love that poem. I had read somewhere that the author is Scott St. James Check the link out below. It may or may not be true that this fellow is the author. Until now I have always seen this poem witten as anonymous as you have it on your page. I have tried to investigate this poem for months because it is so inspirational. This is the only time I have come up with any authors' name. Ummmm! What do you think???

Terry-too on May 29, 2004It did not take long to have me hooked! Read to the end and cheered with that crowd when he won the greater race, the one against failure, the one against giving up, the one against his shame. Wonderful object-lesson there! Technically, once the race was on, there was a flawless predictability in its form that helped carry us to its happy end. Enjoyed the poem very much. --Dee

Mark Rickerby on March 15, 2004Hi Naena,
I came by to ask if it would be okay if I included a comment of yours on my promo page. It's at www.byebyecommute.com. Please let me know if that's okay.
I had to laugh when I read that you "make faces at people when they aren't looking" because I do that, too. I've been caught a few times because some faces were so twisted up, my eyesight went fuzzy and when I regained focus, I realized the victim was looking right at me. haha
I just LOVED The Race, too. Thanks for posting that.
Mark (AKA HappyWanderer) -
Hoosierpoet on March 14, 2004Wow, Naena, I can see why "the race" is your favorite poem - it was enough to put a lump in my throat! I don't believe I ever read that before. I thought I'd come and visit your site after entering your contest.
Best wishes,
Moses -

Virtuosoamorous on November 1, 2003You write from the soul and that is rarity for everyone including myself. Also may I say you are a beautiful woman. I read your poem "To rid her of Empteness" and I must say I am both of those parts that you speak of. I'm am not proud of eaither and every time I pray I ask for forgivness from The Lord. You truely capture the pain one goes through, though I hope that you have never been there and have only observed it. PLease continue to write and bles us with your feelings.

naena on April 9, 2003I now know that I am a complete and utter dork! I just now noticed that I have comments on my author's page....this is sad because they started in October 2001!! So...ummm...if any of you happen to venture back to my sad little author's page..thanks for stopping by my little corner here and taking the time to comment. And Gecko...no worries...nothing means the same thing anywhere else as it does in the U.S.! Here a "shag" is a hairstyle...a "bum" is not your posterior, it's a homeless person...if you "smoked a fag" you'd probably go to prison (smoked=killed, fag= politically incorrect term for a homosexual) and yes..."pasties" are decorative nipple coverings, and usually not edible!
) Huge smiles to all!!! Always, Elaina -

blackheart on January 18, 2002I just want to thank you again for so relentlessly reading / commenting on my poetry... it is nice to have somebody who can 'feel' what i write down... i very rarely write poetry for 'everyone', i am more an emotional writer, i like to get things out... it helps to soothe the angst and heartache at times *s*
So thank you again... i will keep looking in on your poetry, definately. take care,
blackheart. -
