Ellis : My wife, Linda, worked in the State of Georgia University Library on August 6for nearly 40 (I think) years. We are Christians, have a beloved dog, and Linda loves to sing, walk outdoors, and to read. She, too, also writes poetry. (We also have a REAL Tiki Cat living with us!) My wife, Linda, reads all the time that she isn't cooking or gardening, - but if she ever gets around to getting on here, YOU will undoubtedly be the first person here in AP that she would like to contact. --Ellis

montez : Just to prove a point.... on December 15, 2008....I went back to that Xmas contest where you received an honourable mention, and read the gold, silver and bronze poems.
Whilst I don't consider myself an expert, nor am I a published poet,I DO have very strong opinions, and even stronger emotions.
Most of my poetry is nonsensical filthy rubbish, but occasionally, I write a serious personal poem - like once in a blue moon, and I actually physically cry whilst writing. It's happened to me several times.
I had a strong emotional feeling when I read your Santa poem, and NO feeling when I read the other 3 (to be fair, the gold wasn't bad).
Your poem was STREETS ahead of the others (IMO), not only in emotive content and ingenuity, but in its formation and flow.
One does not get one's just desserts on this site (but one does lose ones sight in the desert!)

condor on November 6, 2008Hi, Moonbumps. Came to see your page and just fell in love with that georgous dog! We have one the same that comes to our workplace with his mate, the plumber. We call him the CEO because he thinks his in charge. (The dog that is, not the plumber.) lol!!!! Anyway, I would like to thank you for coming and reading my poem. Actually, i wrote it after talking to beret55, he so impressed me. You want a good laugh, read his poems on humour. He is tops.
