    By God's Sweet Ramadan
    this poet and journeyor
    your friendly Berber man
    has returned to succor.

    To sit below palms
    discovering more hidden truths
    and read your balm
    learning from your sooth.

    In the end I
    know you are great
    reading with a sigh
    of your blessed fate.

Thanks for your comment on my poem. I can only applaud the article I just read here on your page. suppose it's about you I gues you're right there's no point in fiting power with power, the only way is to find a way through inner strength. I can (well, I probably cannot, but I try to anyway) understand how hard it must be to remain strong in a culture that tries to oppress your sexe, but as I read it, you're doing a great job at it, and I truly hope you can find a way to change things in a more open direction with more freedom and less oppression...
I send you all the best wishes and may all positive things come to you in the future! Blessed be, Ostara

    On Mona's Poetry Cover

    By He Whe Rules
    us scholars and fools
    who celebrate each season
    for our personal reasons.

    We poets see all
    summers yield to fall
    its respite we recall
    as shades grow tall.

    I see your poetry
    is infused with philosophy
    and verbal physical therapy
    used as a canopy.

    Thus protected from glare
    we collect near here
    and wonder if we're
    hearing enough to share.

hello Mona, How are you? I just showed my 16 year old your page and we read it together. I admire so much what you do. There is so much wisdom and understanding in your ideas, not only about your culture but about human beings not just women but all people. The needs you make people aware of are the real needs. Even in the western world I doubt many men are aware of many of the true needs of their women. I truly applaud you and your efforts.

Certainly no need to work on that poem. It was very good. I was perhaps reading something into the spirit of the writer, that caused that line to be there.

And happy ramadan to you I hope...LOL
Have to be careful when dealing with other cultures
I am currently selflearning or is that selfteaching Arabic
so i know sometimes the words are different depending on
whether a man or woman is doing the talking or being addressed
(spoken too). Hope all is well with you. If you are voice
ready on the web let me know and maybe we can talk for real
    sometime. Hugs and love...Eddy

Sweetie...hot chocolate would be fine...I used to drink alot of
coffee but not now with my high blood pressure. :(
The pyramids have always held a fasination for me. I just wish
I wouldn't have seen satellite pics of them showing how really
massive they are. I knew they were big just not THAT big.

    hopes it works out.
I live in (I hear) the Great Satan...America...
Unfortunatly I don't believe most of what I hear so I will just
have to keep on being a nice guy I guess...*smile*
Double hugs to you since your a twin....(above comment)

I just want to tell you how much I enjoy your poetry and your web page. I too love Egypt, I was fortunate to have been able to visit Cairo and Luxor a few years ago. I was there for three weeks, a childhood dream come true. I hope I'll be able to go again. I have a very dear special friend there who is Egyptian. He lives in Cairo.
I'll be reading much more of your poetry. It's truely beautiful, full of meaning, very spiritual.
Thank you for sharing it with all of us.

you may be a humble egyptian doctor who loves poetry, but you contemplate things of a higher nature, love, peace, brotherhood, beauty, on a universal plain. That, in my opinion, is the essence of greatness, regardless of who you are or where you live.
  • unnamed12 on December 3, 2001
above, superior, supreme, going beyond the ordinary, supernatural, highly spiritual. As i use it here, i simply mean that your poetry transcends or goes above the natural realm, to the metaphysical.
  • unnamed12 on November 13, 2001
I like your poetry. You have a lot of talent. I will be reading more. Tried to access your homepage but it wouldn't come up.
