i am so sorry: it took me ages to notice that you'd sent me a message on my homepage - thank you so much!
if you believe it would help / if you are interested, i can dig out the email i sent to someone who asked me the question 'how the heck do you write such short poems?' the reply basically said 'because it takes a lot of mental effort for me to write (!)' and then went on to illustrate with an example ('burn this house'). the first word that occurred to me was 'brick' and it went from there - not exactly backwards, but like a jigsaw.
