Love is a long road with no directions, and many turnings to confuse the mind. But ones heart will guide you the way.

  • Yvette Champ : Sincere Apologies on March 29, 2008
    Dearest Aj,
I apologize for not dropping by more often. I have no excuses, two explanations are time constraints and I am prone to procrastination ( it's as painful as it sounds! ) Sadly I seem to be making more and more of these apologies as I have not got back to other friends that I also hold as dear as yourself, I assure you it's not personal. I often think of you and always with warmth, hoping that your studies are going well, that your spirit is aglow with the Gospel and that you have mauve moments to inspire your imagination to add ink to press pen to page and create more poetry.
My MSN keeps "freezing" so I am not able at present to chat like that So promise you that am not ignoring you my dear friend, may you always have music for your soul and know that even if I am not in touch for a while it's not because you are far away or far away from my thoughts but for a variety of reasons.
I hope to post the poem I wrote especially for you soon, the one on your testimonial page, for then you will be on my page too
    Take gentle care of yourself,
    love and light,
    Yvette

  • Yvette Champ : LilAj on January 20, 2008

    LilAj makes me ponder chronology,
    numerology, how his eighteen summers
    soar spiritually with the wingtips
that send bluebirds to the sky,
sighing wisdom within my holy trinity
of poet, friend and fellow man
    being kind to man,

his penmanship calls me to Kingston Town
    where faith is held
within the roll and beat of drum,
    the hand to shoulder responsibility
    and two feet that walk
the path which is right for himself,

    within the mantle-shelf of heart
    there is room enough
for the sweet rejoinder of Amoy,
Gospel sung from the rafters of the soul,
    for friends, family and God,

here in this poem he isn't hidden
    but stands many hands tall,
a boy-man on the brink of manhood,
    dreaming, writing, reaching,
    achieving, studying the universe
    and all that is universal,

he brings me happy, happy days,
    catches colours
in the palm of his hand
    and paints the world
    with words...

A poetic gift from a poetic friend
in tribute to you dear poet

" bless your cotton socks! "

    Love and Light
    Yvette
