I'M ENGAGED, I'M ENGAGED, I'M ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!!!! DANCES!!! Sorry I haven't been on much lately, had loads going on. I got engaged, and Glen's mum is in hospital with cysts on her kidney and suspected cyst on her ovary. Not good news. But I'M ENGAGED!!!! WOOOOOOT!!! Do I'm happy!!! I'll have another challenge for you soon ok??? HUGS, Dari xxx

Okies, you mastered the nonet! And what a wonderful nonet it was!!! So proud of you!!! So let's see how we get on with the...

    Rictameter
Rictameter is a scheme similar to Cinquain. Starting your first line with a two syllable word, you then
consecutively increase the number of syllables per line by two. i.e. 2,4,6,8,10 Then down again,
8,6,4,2 Making the final line the same two syllable word you began with.

I don't remember doing one myself, so this is gonna be challenging me as well as you! HUGS!!! Similar to the nonet in that it's syllable count, but this time a little more challenging in that you have to end with the word you started with. Yey, let the challenge commence! HUGS, Dari xxx

Right, our next challenge is going to be...(drums on the desk top for effect)

    Nonet
A nonet has nine lines. The first line has nine syllables, the second line eight syllables, the third line
seven syllables, etc... until line nine that finishes withone syllable. It can be on any subject and
    rhyming is optional.

    line 1 - 9 syllables
    line 2 - 8 syllables
    line 3 - 7 syllables
    line 4 - 6 syllables
    line 5 - 5 syllables
    line 6 - 4 syllables
    line 7 - 3 syllables
    line 8 - 2 syllables
    line 9 - 1 syllable

There's no rhyming in this one, so it's all pretty cool. It's all about syllable count. Let's see what you can do with this one. I'm gonna do one too and we'll compare after. If you have any probs with it, let me know and I'll see if i can help you out. HUGS, Aint this fun??? Forms are fun to try!!! Dari xxx

You have been issued a free trial of our preferred memberships so you can take it for a test drive before you buy! Don’t worry when you get a message that says your preferred membership is up…you can still post poems and be a part of the community, you just won’t have the benefits of custom backgrounds and the ability to add pictures.

Over to the right is the chatterbox. That is a neat little nook where you can talk to all the other poets who are online. We also have an IM system that you can use to leave a message with one who is offline. Please do not use the chatterbox for promoting though please…if you get caught, you will be fined and no one wants that!

If you have any questions at all, feel free to contact me (my info is on my author page) or a moderator. Those are the ones whose names appear in blue.

Once again, welcome to our family !
