You know, it's the funniest thing, close to when I first joined two years ago, I read your poem "7% Alcohol" and I'll be damned if I haven't been in love with it ever since and I've never read anything else you've written. I'll read more of your work, but I just thought I'd tell you that that one poem has really made a huge impression on me, and I still read it over and over. Just wanted to thank you for letting that poem be a part of my life.

Learning the accordion is totally awesome. I am currently teaching it to the drummer of my band. (He does play piano though) Here is a helpful list of instructions I found on the internet.
HOW TO PLAY THE PIANO ACCORDION
A Primer for Beginners
1. Get an accordion. The cheaper the better because they all sound the same. Do not tell anyone what you have done - it will only cause them to worry. They will find out soon enough.
2. Take the accordion out of the case and strap it on. It is better if the accordion rests on your chest instead of your back but, for the first few weeks, it doesn't really make that much difference.
3. For sounds to be produced, three things must happen: The bellows must be moving in or out. One or more of the keys or buttons must be pressed. All potential weapons within a one mile radius must be collected and secured. The third is the most important
4. The buttons on the left side are chord buttons. The "C" button has a dimple or nipple so you can find it without looking. (This is a safety feature. Before it was invented, thousands of accordionists suffered painful and sometimes disabeling injuries - much to the delight of the general public). Never use more than three buttons. "Professional" accordionists appear to be using lots of buttons but they are acutally just desperately trying to find the damned "C". "Professional" means they have learned to smile while they do it.
5. Play the black and white keys. The high notes are at the bottom and the low notes are at the top. (That arrangement isn't supposed to make any sense. Accept it.) Note: If you find the high notes at the top and the low notes at the bottom, you have either put the accordion on upside down or you have tried to repair it yourself. If the former, turn the accordion over. If the latter, pack your acordion up with thousands and thousands of dollars and mail it far away for a long, long time.
6. Continue playing until someone begs you to stop or threatens your life, whichever comes first.
7. Put the accordion back in its case.
8. Order an accordion tee-shirt and wear it to the Mall.
Actually there are lots of sites on the internet that do actually have helpful things to say, so you can try searching there. Best of luck.

I'm confused. Are you fourteen as you say in your bio, or eighteen as you say in your other bio? Is the number off on purpose? If it's not you may want to correct it before some mediator catches on.
Cheers,
 Absinthe

" jealousdominatrix
a joke-
how many punks does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
3- one to screw it in, one to declare how punk it was, and one to call the lightbulb a poser.
funny, no?"
living here in orange county, the punk/80s phenomenon has taking over the braindead youth here and everyone has spiked up artificial dyed black/red/hot pink hair to match the spiked collars, the the tight black jeans.
and i find it ironic. the whole point of going punk was to rebel against the norm. how do you rebel against the norm, when rebelling against the norm is normal?

Aighty! Hi! Yes, I'm from the.. uh.. great state of Iowa. Super isn't it. I only live about 2 hours away from you. I live in Schleswig! Hah! Weird. I love playing MY bass as well.. And I play g*tar occaisionally. I'm already in a band and I've had people screaming me and hugging me already. I love my band. We're called Idi0tstick. I also LOVE art. I love to draw and paint. But yeah. That is SO weird. I can't believe you play the same instruments I do! I'm also vocals so I enjoy screaming my lungs out. I like your cover page and I really appreciate you didn't try to be empathetic, sympathetic, or anything with the word "pathetic" in it. Thanks much for reading my poem. If you have AOL.. my ID is "lids weapon" and my MSN is sparkle_babe_2007@hotmail.com. Get ahold of me!!! Love much!

Hey!
thanks for all the beautiful comments on my poetry. you are very important to me. thank you.
oh, and about stereo 7... you're from Iowa, and so you probably have heard them. i've been hearing about them getting played on the Iowa radio stations, and they do play Iowa shows from time to time... they might even have one coming up soon. i'll have to get back to you on that. anyway, that's pretty neat that you know them. check them out at www.stereo7.net. miles ramsay is pretty much my best friend in the world, and they're really great guys, so you'll have to check them out sometime and get to know them.
thanks again for everything. i'll be stopping by soon to visit. love you!

hullo.... it took me forever to figure this out... all the way down to your aim name.. i was like... do i know this person?
-
yeah, I agree with you on the whole not using it unless you knew...I didn't think you were, mind you...
actually, I find it kind of funny to use it myself, because it almost seems like I'm taking what is not mine.....
hmmm.
-
lol i know it was his name to cover himself up and sort of cloak himself. i wouldn't be using it if i didn't know what it meant to him, then i'd just be another nirvana-drone who has no real relation to the lyrics and music and kurt cobain...
well...i don't like 'kurdt kobain' much anymore cause everyone uses it now cause of his journals...and as much as his journals really affected me and changed me...i still wouldn't want to expose it too much and get it too out there even though it's already too late and even i read it...no comment. too weird...
well, thanks for all the comments. i'll try to comment some other time cause at this time...stuff...people...yeah.
