from "Influence" by Johnathan Johnson
Writing poems is lonely.
At its best at least it has almost nothing to do with loyalty.
But today Im sad for Halliday
and the new way hes on his own.
Far from home. A rolling stone. And
(as far as Kochs concerned) a complete unknown.

well, well, well... I'll just say... IT'S ABOUT TIME! and add a great big YIPPEEE!

They seem to sprout up spontaneously in the back yard where I bury all my ex-boyfriends.
They have the most wonderfully fragrant blooms and the fruit is sweet but it tends to bitter if not plucked in season. The trick is knowing when the right season is....

That background photo with the dead insects is glorious and beautiful. A focus on something most people try to not see. You force us to see it. From your information up there it sounds as though there are some changes for the better underway in your life. Best wishes. I'd love it if you'd drop me a line sometime, tell me what you're up to. crumblingwalls@hotmail.com

since i just won my contest i can FINALLY
put together one stellar contest.
ok.
i'm tired of some of the stuff i read on here and i WISH
people would take my advice and read some of the stellar
poets i have on my page. just to learn a little something you know
because i have learned a shitload just by reading.
so my plan for my contest is to put a list of my favourite poets here on ap and one poem that i choose from them or a poem that the poets themselves choose.
so i make that list and anyone that enters MUST pick that poet, read the poem, comment on that poem (and if they already have commented on another one) and make their own version of that poem. NOT pretty much repeating that poem but make it their own. adapt that style of the poem and do it themselves.
ok.
so that is how it is going to go.
so if you're in let me know.

Hey Janey! i wrote My first Haiku!

Jeeez I love how you use words as a form of a visual. I just can't get enough of reading your works and getting amazed each time. You're really talanted. Thank you for writing.

Hey Janesays! Just stopped by to say hello! Work in Progress slipped by me before I had the chance to see it. If it is one of those pieces that is giving you a hard time, don't get too frustrated. It will break through when it is ready. Usually in that case, it takes a life of its own when you least expect it. I know that has been the case with me. I have one work that I have been struggling with on and off for almost a month now. ARGH!!!! But all aside, just wanted to wave at you and smile. (Of course, I can't find a little yellow guy around here that does that, so you'll have to use your imagination.)
-
When are you going to get new poems on here? I'm waiting to read them... Patiently...
