Does anything bloom in the garden as of yet? Does the snow relent for want of spade upon the frosty ground? Ah, dear Jane, I dream of flowers at your feet!
-
My dear Jane,
I have come to this place to poke on shoulders and shake hands. I cannot leave without bringing you a Valentine greeting... for it is this day that you come to mind every year. I think it is your capacity for romance woven through your work as well as the experience of love gained and lost and found in the world which you convey so well with your pen that has always brought my eyes to your words. I see you have lost none of these things. Your works remain powerful and vibrant. May the garden bloom brilliantly in the spring!

I was going through my older poems and saw you had commented on my song Universal Heaven and so I had to stop by and return the favor and check out your page. I love the background. Very bright and cheerful. I'll check out your poems.

Have a great Memorial weekend. Helen

i promise to catch up this weekend on your latest posts

Thank you for stopping by my author's page and leaving me a message, it is much appreciated. I only just now read your comments on Remember Me, (as school has been demanding) and am grateful more than I can say for the applause and kind comments. Though the old lady comment gave me a laugh; you do not seem old, rather your liveliness shone through your words.
All the best,
Elena

Hi Jane! Seems forever-long since we've caught up, but I've been thinking of you and hope your Christmas and New Year was wonderful and memorable. Happiness to you in 2007 and always...

NoWayJo : Just to keep in touch... on December 19, 2006
Hi Jane!
Haven't caught up with you for a while, and hoping everything has been OK. I know you mentioned "hectic" last time we chatted, and hectic can get out-of-hand I realize, especially around the holidays.
The contest-idea is still on whenever you're feeling it's a good time to feature it. Since judging the last contest on AP despite all the AP glitches, I've become and EXPERT contest-closer--AND I finished off the Christmas shopping too. Just a bit, well a lot more wrapping to do, but anytime hereon is good by me!
Take care and hope to catch up with you soon!
Jo

great picture ...now I can see you jane...

NoWayJo : Hey there Jane! on November 21, 2006
Don't worry to feature anything, Jane...You're a sweetheart to think of me, but this system is so screwy when it comes to things lately...Sometimes I can message-out, other times it comes to some kind of download thing with a file being tossed back-and-forth to try to send a simple message.
Kevin says something on AOL is too "HIGH," but I have no idea on these things. I'm hoping one day my computer and AP are compatible...but they're not very user-friendly at this point of time!
I'm glad you're back...Been missing you around here!

Thank you so much for your comment on my poem.
I really love your work, keep it up!

Darling
Flitting by in sky
after a dreadful cry
I aspy some joy
sitting alone so coy.
Write I wonder please
to breath and ease
read I beg inspire
your mind to inquire.
I'm from the dale
right now feeling stale
but seeing your name
raises my spirits again.
I imagine your wit
some I cannot forget
sweet, delightful and calm
like a needed balm.

Hi Jane! Not sure if you do the contest-thing at AP here, but this is one that I think might interest you being so many of your poems are based on a day's experiences and you immediately came to mind reading the contest details. Give it a peek and see what you think...Here's a link: allpoetry.com/Contest/2123223

Oh God
often I try
to know
where do you live ?
and
every time
I get the address of
a heart
a heart in which you live
and smile
through the
words and through the melody of
thoughts as well
and that
heart
belongs to janejainejayne...

I laughing here cause I just left comment to your latest poem, "What I Know About Men," but was thinking to myself, what a drear blue AP background Jane has chosen for this poem. Then I come to your main page and notice that because of an AP stutter, the poem has posted itself some four times!!!
It's been happening a lot here at AP lately...even so much as when I recently passed someone points, the points triplicated themselves when I sent them. I think it has something to do with clicking that send-send-send or post-post-post button several times!
Jo
P.S.: Make that FIVE times...there FIVE Jane poems posted total!!! LOL Edited on May 15, 7:37 p.m. because 'to add a P.S.'.

You expect today not to be a special holiday,
not a special celebration of you?
A little bird sings this is your birthday
as you blow out the candles,
to believe every wish to come true.
Though I did not write, this is a poem I had come across a while ago that strangely seems to be all I love and know to be JaneJaineJayne, and I hope you like it too:
BIRTH DAY
(by Elise Paschen)
Armored in red, her voice commands
every corner. Bells gong in squares,
in steeples, answering the prayers.
Bright tulips crown the boulevards.
Pulled from the womb she imitates
that mythic kick from some god's head.
She roars, and we are conquered.
Her legs, set free, combat the air.
Naked warrior, she is our own.
Entire empires are overthrown.

i looooove this poem!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
wake me up inside
organs are threatening to fully function
slow and steady
breath will return
fresh air will come
the thing that never needed to be there is dying
draining down my throat
weird taste in my mouth
weight is coming off
its slow and steady
i've been living a lie
wake me up inside
wake me up inside
tired and frustrated
when you walk by
with your deep breath
pieces of you leaving
death of old
and life of new is coming
wake me up inside

Believe
Clad only in a dress
rehearsal
where only perfection
will be accepted
dreams escape as seats
remain empty
still this mind is not yet
filled to capacity
curtains of soft black velvet
cover naked voids
my soul screams at the top
of her lungs "I believe in me"
For you a dear friend
Always Helen

I just read your brief autobiography above and find it wonderfully fascinating. It is a dream come true is it not - like having ascended beyond the clouds. More people will be joining this state as the years roll on. They will say "why haven't I done this sooner?!". These are the days of miracles. Bright lights shining in dark places should never distract us from the Light that is shining through us (when we allow it).
I thank you for this,
Chalice
