Sara and I just stopped by to send our love,
We hope you can feel our dreams above,
We appreciate all you sing and do,
And we long for the chance to Tango with you.
Love Sharon and Sara!!!

Thank you for your kind words. It has been very hard and I think a simple poem was more of who he was. I loved him dearly and I miss him every day. He was the one who supported everything I have done. Thank you again!

angelica : To Kevin, a column on History poems on July 8
Dear Kevin,
History, when I was at school, was always boring and hard to learn for me and others.
How different it would have been if there had been a site like this where, with just a click, we would be taken to all the history poems written by talented poets to enjoy reading and to learn at the same time.
There are many students on Allpoetry who would benefit from a category on History
and I know that there are many wonderful poets here who write about history but whose work goes unseen by students who would be pleased to add to their knowledge and learning.
Kevin, is it possible for you to consider creating a link or section for poems about History?
My friend Hugh Wyles is only one of many poets who write about historical subjects
which, like the Old Poetry site, deserve a section of their own.
.
Here is one example of Hugh’s writing on History http://allpoetry.com/poem/5499825
Sincerely,
Beatrice Joan Benecke, (Angelica)
I am posting this here Hugh so others can see, I hope you don't mind.
Love Bea

Dear hugh I dropped by the say
that I caught your muse running away
I grabbed it to stop it
and that's when I copped it
my muse and yours started to play
I'm sorry to tell you this Hugh
there was nothing that I could do
The two of them together
like two birds of a feather
without a single thought for me and you
Though museless, let's give it a shot
we need a way to catch them, but what?
lets trick themwith rhyme
that will live throughout time
and give it the best that we've got

I hear tell that Edna is not well. You and your family are in my prayers. I ask that God sends His angels to be with you. I pray that Edna does not suffer any pain. I pray that strength is given to you all in the way that the Lord knows best. I will keep you all close to my heart and in my day and night prayers.
Always ♥

Grays for all occasions, for peace and quiet,
for days when you wish there were four of you,
and for days that need a light from the dark...

hugh wyles : Dear Aesthete2000 (May I call you M-C?) on August 6, 2008
Of the three escutcheons shown above, I think I have to say
that I like the most subdued one in my favourite color GREY.
When once emblazoned on my shield, I'll carry it with pride
and wear your favour as I battle with Hubertus Hyde.
With thanks, love and hugs
Hugh (R.)

For the King, as the star of his universe...

-
I’m quite amazed and slightly dazed at your sheer artistry
and honoured too to think that YOU have done all this for ME!
Would words less crude my mind elude to manifest my gratitude
but, in my way, pray let me say in all sincerity:
“THANKYOU, MY DEAR M-C”!
-
-
And now for the more elegantly subdued.
-
Still working on the concept.
Here's one for an outrageous day.
Will work on some that are more regal!!!

I always wanted to visit NZ! I live in Hawaii! Nice visiting your site! Aloha!

Maryann22 : what a great man on March 29, 2007
Hugh, I have to say that I still love you as much as when we first met on AP! you are such a wonderful man. always there for his friends, always knowing just the right things to say. reaching out a helping hand whenever someone is in need. I miss talking to you like i did before. My daughter is finally out of the hospital now and is doing much better so now i should have time to catch up on everyone's poems that i haven't read or commented on. I just wanted to say thanks for being such a wonderful friend.

Yemassee : A belated Happy Birthday on January 14, 2007
I wish wish youm happy birthday and resisted the temptation to be silly and wish you Happy new Year or Halloween. I did that with MargaretG and got a reply less satisfying than I would have preferred, so being drumb but not completely devoid of a working brain, I have learned not to go back to where a shock occurred.
So Happy Birthday and I hope it was a pleasant one!

Haven't seen your name much and Mari and I got to wondering it you are ok.
-
Hugh, I had emailed you but was not sure it got through. And now I cannot seem to send messages through this site for some reason. I wanted to make sure that you got my thank you for the lovely book you sent. It is just wonderful and I have read much but intend to read it repeatedly. Thank you so much for sending it to me. Love, Mary

EyeRaven : Dear Mister Hugh on November 25, 2006
I haven't noticed you testimonial note until today.. If I have I would have replied right away.. you see..I don't know why, but I like you sir, you seem like a great soul to me..
I will try and edit my backgrounds, but I will have to get your help in telling me which poems did you find hard to read..and I will send thier texts to you, or do whatever to let you enjoy them in an easy read.
You're right, sir... with age comes weakness at sight, but also comes strength at heart..
Raven Dark.

Such a warm page you've got! I came across by accident and found such a chest of gems in the form of quotes that you have on your author page! It was a delight for me to see Omar Khayam's rubai - I'm from Asia. And Tolkien's witty sayings and so much more. A wonderful selection! Alleksa Jan
