  I noticed your name.. 'hoodoo'.. which I thought was interesting, so I checked to see where you reside.. and that interested me too, as here in Canada, a long way from where you are.. near the border of Alberta and B.C there is an area of rock formations... which the locals fondly call the Hoodoo's..
  
  I love them, and it's been quite some time since I've seen one up close and personal... so I wondered if 'hoodoos'.. the rocks are the reason for the name..

  Thanks Jo, I just found my new background on this page this morning, I love it too! As far as a background for the haiku, I had been basically told by myron that it is not desired to have one for a haiku, that the haiku is supposed to paint the picture, lol, so I am hesitant to do it, although I see so many do it. I appreciate you thinking of me, and would love to have a look at it if you find it, and who knows, maybe I will throw caution to the wind, lol. I am pleased you stopped by, see you around

  Hi there Hoodoo! What a pretty page...I LOVE the background. It would even make for a great background for one of those short three-lines of haiku centered-up just right!
  
  I was thinking of your lawn grass-haiku in the contest just last night. I found and clicked up a grass background and when I went to post it so I could pass you a link, I can't find the darn thing in the My Pictures file. I think AOL has been tripping-up on me lately...and me being so computer-illiterate, heck knows where the background image is stored. If I find it though, I'll pass you over a link!

  Hey, hoodoo! How are ya today? I was just looking around at my new friends' sites.. and here ya are! I love your comment about some of your poetry being for contests. Ain't it the truth?!? Some days I really chastise myself for prostituting my poetry that way. But, other days I am entered into contests (read: Winklings and selected others) that are worthwhile and not just point gathering exercises.   That a really great comment. After my head inury writing has been a struggle. I can not stop doing it. I am trying to find a voice see if it my art form. Not really sure. After this. It took me over twenty years to get this far. No one would help me. My dream is write well. My one selfish sin to see my name in print. So I have not wasted my life.
