angelica on May 22, 2005Hi Joan, I came across your name today, it's been so long since we've spoken, how are you my friend? I have to send Von an IM and stir her about the State Of Origin, we do it every year. I'll be back Joannie to check out your work.
Love~Joan

sporkifye on April 21, 2004I just wanted to say thanks and return the favor for the comment you made on my poem Baby. Its creation was one of those Moments when your hand does the thinking for you, and when its done even you aren't entirely sure what it means. But I think your comment came the closest to what my hand was going for, a sort of bittersweet rememberance of what once was great, while at the same time looking at the reality of how it really wasn't as great as was thought.
peace,
Sheera -
phatalvision on March 6, 2004Hi Joanie, it's nice hearing from you again. Thanks for stopping by. I don't get out and about here at AP too much anymore. I have joined Von at OP doing poetry research and am having a blast. Thanks again for reading my poem.

phatalvision on January 16, 2004Just stopped by to say HI and thanks for the comments. Things are going well on this side of the world if you don't count the freezing cold weather, hauling my daughter thousands of miles to college and back or the knee surgery I am trying to recover from. It's hard to find the silver lining when the sky is completely overcast, but I can still smile and that's just as good. So I plod along ever mindful that no matter how bad things are, they can always get worse.......or better, whatever the case may be. I can handle it. Thanks for visiting me.

phatalvision on July 2, 2003Hi Joanie, thanks for the comments on Mona Lisa. If my theory is right, she most likely would have busted out in laughter. That darned cold air!

dittysri on June 14, 2003Glad to meet you Harriet, any friend of Vonnie is a friend of mine. I just returned the favor for a piece of mine you commented on and read a splendid poem. My piece was a tongue in cheek spoof on us elderly folks, wasn't trying for any sympathy. I'm still living life to the fullest, well as full as my worn out body will let me. Don't need sympathy, just love. hahahahaha. See ya later?
-
angelica on June 14, 2003sorry about that, will write lower from now on,thanks for the tip,
i guess i do get carried away,i remember now someone telling me it sounded like yelling,i gyess i forgot.

Deke on May 16, 2003About G Strings--they are very flattering on some people, but on everyone that wears one they leave nothing to the imagination, or so it seems to me. They simply reveal to much--don't you think so?

phatalvision on May 2, 2003The reason I said 'forget the snake' was to avoid a repeat of the temptations which were the start of the end. I think snakes are cool too!
-
phatalvision on May 2, 2003Thanks for reading Rainbows and Teddy Bears and the wonderful comments. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Some think that I should have left out the last stanza because it doesn't go with the rest of the poem, but that is, in fact, the heart of the poem. It changes the direction and meaning of the entire poem. I feel it would be mediocre without it.

silica on April 1, 2003You may well be right about the Joe-Joe’s – I didn’t think of it… I only found out recently that THEY called it ‘witnessing’ when they went out annoying people – lol. Thanks for reading enjoying your comments – The Divine Comedy – Laughter before all.

Jareth on March 18, 2003This is sad, but the reason I stopped in is because I saw your name at the bottom of my screen, you were reading a piece I've read before, and I saw your Author name and my jaw dropped. I love "So I Married an Axe Murderer"!!! You rule, and I bestow pixie dust on your page! *sprinklesprinkle* --blessings, Jareth
-

phatalvision on March 7, 2003Your name was ringing bells...now I know why...I have to ask....
is it inspired by the beat poem recited by Mike Myers in "So I married an axe murderer"? -
