DeepDarkDesire on November 13, 2006NP, I am always honoured to comment on such beautiful works. In turn just as I, am honoured for you to comment on my works, I appreciate it-honestly. I am currently seeing into getting my works published-with 50% of the sales to my pocket
Though at the ripe age of 7 I had a poem published called 'The Rokodillo' and at 9 my fathers effort paid off (he kept entering me into competitions in order to find my talent-he thought I'd be a musician or a performing artist!) and I won a prize called 'The future in bigger feet' which was pretty big! Over-all I was named a young know-it-all with a tendancy to answer back too much by the judges
they also thought I was a little boy ^^ Lol. I'd be interested to read your origionally published poem if you still own a copy. -
DeepDarkDesire on November 13, 2006Hehey, would you comment on this poem please, your critisism makes for interesting reading and sense.

slavetothemusic on November 3, 2006Hey, I'm ok, just stressed out a bit with all the UCAS things- I got the welcome letter and I submitted it ahead of time but I've gotten an email from oxford saying they havent gotten my UCAS app. My interview went pretty well I think, the interviewer was australian and I think that put me at some ease. The LNAT I had to take on the other hand was pretty awful, I don't think I did myself justice. Ah well... what can you do? Hope you're not under too much stress, take care xx

Salt Therapy on September 20, 2006Yes you may still enter mhmm. Just make sure it's a poem that hasn't won yet

slavetothemusic on August 22, 2006Oh, haha my little "eurotrip" was fun. Most of the time was at an intensive french school though (3 weeks) and a week on either side divided by going to germany, france, belgium and amsterdam. I can't believe school is starting and you guys are leaving! Well, I hope we can keep in touch and I'll check back to see your latest work, when I have a free moment (you see, I might be doing 4 subs for A level -___-).

Thanks for the comment..
I'm alright.. that was just something to clear out my mind.. I don't really believe in palm reading, actually, it was memnoch that did it *laughs* oh well.. It was just a thing to finish up my writing.. I did get a little disappointed at first but then I realised it was just a reading from memnoch hehe..
Thanks for reading

-
memnoch on January 21, 2005I love your style of writing, although sometimes you linger into what i call "the love zone", you still manage to darken the over all image, which is what i love. Great work, i'll be looking for your new works...
-
Snmarky on November 29, 2004I like your work . If you ever get a chance you should read "Heart Of Darkness" It is less than a two hundred pages and you would enjoy it . You are like Marlow in a way . Drifting between the light and the dark . If you get a chance to read the book , and understand it keep in mind that Kurtz should be admired , and pitied . I love your work . It's well done
-

Barbara on April 2, 2004Hi there gothchyld!
I would like to welcome you to Allpoetry. This is a wonderful place to share your writing with others, and to enjoy the variety of works posted here by those who share in your love of poetic expression. Allpoetry is an interactive community, which means you should comment on 4 poems for every 1 you post. The more poems you read and leave a comment on, the more your name will be seen and the more people will want to read your work.
Help - The Help link will give you more information about the site. It is an excellent page to stop at, and will answer most of your basic questions. If you have any questions about the Help page, or the AP Policy, allpoetry.com/special/policies , you can ask any of us for help. The Moderators are highlighted in blue, while Site Greeters are in green. Click on the (IM) beside the name in the poet list, type your question into the small box that will appear just below the chatterbox, and send!...
is just a mouse click away!
Membership - As a note of thanks from the site, all new members are given a free four-day trial preferred membership when they join. This allows you to post pictures with your poems and on your author page. Once the trial is over, you will no longer be able to enjoy these special benefits unless you purchase a membership for yourself. Although a membership is not required in order to post poems or comment, it does make the AP experience a bit more exciting. Further details are in the Store link at the top of the page.
Contests - Each month the Site Greeters host a contest for new poets, and allpoetry.com/contest/563435 is the one for April. At the top of the screen you will notice a Contests link, where different AP poet-hosted challenges will help inspire your creative talents, and allpoetry.com/Column/307514 is an interesting column that describes contests and how they are judged.
Emoticons - You may have noticed the emoticons, or 'smilies' that people add to comments, and the chatterbox. A list can be found here-> allpoetry.com/Column/306041
Promoting - Two options to promote your work are the Shameless Promotion section, and the Feature section. Please do not promote in the Chatter Box, Instant Message, or the Bulletin Boards. A moderator or greeter will ask you to stop, and you could be 'fined points'.
I hope you enjoy yourself here at Allpoetry, or at one of the sister sites: Storywrite, Allphilosophy, and Oldpoetry (links at the bottom of this page). If you have any questions you can IM me and I will be happy to help in any way I can. If you would like to meet the other greeters, please stop by our page, allpoetry.com/poets/AP%20Greeters
