Someone with good taste in music, my age and a live journal. Not bad I'd say.
-
Tehehehehe...
You deserved it. Maggie and I both died when we read your poem; I do believe it deserved first place.
Congratulations!
-Jen
-
Thank you very much. I cannot wait until the next contest.
-
Lol, I am glad that I did not receive one of those letters from you, then. I could only imagine what would have been said.
Even though this site seems to be really friendly, lots of people take things way too seriously sometimes. I hope things worked out for you in the other contests that you had a misunderstanding with.
I know how bad weekends go.
thanks for the apology anyway! lol...
-Jen
-
I had entered a bunch of contests last week and I was sending all I insulted a form apology, I thought that I had bitched you out as well, You are so kind if I did and you are forgiving me by denial. I am just a big ball of goo this week, bad weekend, etc...
Anyway, thanks for your reply, please disregard my apology if you were not zapped by my ego last week...

I am sure I don't know what you're talking about..
I never received anything from you except your poems that you entered into my contest.
I don't consider you an ass or anything of the sort, lol..
>looks around<
I have no clue what's going on! Will you help me figure this out?
-Jen
-
OOh, I made a big mistake, please forgive me! I didn't know what I was saying, and I feel like a real ass. I sent this same letter to all the contest-holders I had entered because I got a message on my computer that I was disqualified from the contests that I had just entered. I Am Sorry! I was later told that it was a message that everyone gets when they enter. The Message was that my entry "Did not Place" which I took to mean that it was judged and someone else won. I did'nt think this was fair since the contest date showed the contest was still open and to be judged in the future. I felt like I was being shut-out and discriminated against, and that is why I wrote such a nasty note to you. It turns out that all entries "Didn't place" because the contest wasn't closed yet and that the entries weren't even judged yet. I guess my jumping the gun really does a lot towards even being considered now.
I am new to entering contests at this site, and I have had much of my stuff "scammed" like this on other sites, I lashed out when I saw that I didn't place in yours, knowing that I had entered it in time and was instantly "rejected" by that message.
Please forgive me if my emotions got the best of me. I understand if you still think I am a jerk, ass, etc... and never want to read or write w/me again.. I will still continue to enjoy your postings if that is OK...Dave A
-
why thank you...
I will try to read some of your stuff soon! thank you for your comment, again.
I always love encouragement.

yeah...smart person you are lol.. sounds like something i would do!! hehe.. yeah i like deja so much more, teh whole cd flows... like each track fits around each other real well... defnitely give it a listen, but i also found that your favorite weapon was quite poppy, but deja was beautiful, it says you like the starting line, listen to the song 'break up day' perfect for emo kiddies like us.. its an unreleased song, but in my opinion one of their best!!
peace and no love

I have Deja Entendu but I haven't had time to listen to it, lol. Everyone has said how great it is, and the parts that I have heard do seem somewhat different from their last album Your Favorite Weapon. I absolutely LOVE that CD so I'm kind of scared to listen to it if the change in the two are really that different..
Yes, the points in my contest, lol. I originally planned to give the first place winner 400 points. The second place winner would receive 200 and the third 100. SO smart little me added them up (which adds to 700 - I hope) and set the contest to be worth 700 points.
Very smart, eh? lol. Someone left a comment on my contest telling me this, so I just really goofed up. I had 737 points so I was down to 37... but I've been commenting like crazy
Thanks for reading and entering.. I appreciate it!
-Jen
-
i see you have an old brand new song on their, i think how much they've changed their sound and appeal is amazing, i love their new stuff, deja entendu was the best album release of 2003, and in my opinion in the top 5 of the last decade.. i am about to read some of your stuff, i just entered your contest, i hope you have fun judging it, nice topic and choices.. and wonderful amount of points to give away!!
anyhow.. you'll be seeing my thoughts on your stuff shortly. long live emo

Thanks for your comments, but don't let anyone's annoyance with your work ever discourage you. True poetry is the true expression of one's self, and if that annoys someone else, that's their problem. Keep writing what's true to your heart and let it flow freely, and know there's plenty of us out there who'll appreciate it!
-
Your profile inparticular is what really grabbed my interest. I can definately understand where you're coming from. From what I've read of your work so far, you have some great stuff. We need more emo kids in the world! Come drop by my page sometime.

*smile*
sorry i'm an idiot.
you can always do fiction. you can always write fiction in your free time. creating scenes characters plots whatever you so
chose.
just won't be 'moving on a screen'
but that is what will get your foot in the door
if you're able to create some killer manuscripts and such.
-ash-
-
shit. I'd kill to have my *own* art gallery. I hear ya about the whole creative writing thing. That's what I probably would be best at, but my heart lies completely in movies and movie characters. Dunno how it happened, hah. I love art to absolute death, I would kill kill kill to have an art gallery. I should think about that more hahhaa.
-jen
-
i'm majoring in english with an emphasis in creative writing.
i'll probably publish some poetry books.
a few novels
and start up my own art gallery.
lol
either that i'll be a starving artist living in a box somewhere
-ash-
-
both really, but if I had to choose one, it'd be movies. I dunno what it is about movies. I'm obsessed

my god. I love cleveland and columbus. I've gone up there several times. Very neat places. Roanoke ahhh! lol I about pissed my pants when I read that about greenbrier, beeckley, etc. I used to live in beckley so I completely know what you mean.
I think wv just all around sucks ohio seems like a good place to live. I'm probably gonna travel myself to either north carolina or virginia. I see some great schools with great potential for me down there. muha.
-jen
-
naw i was in cleveland and columbus most of my life..i was going to ohio state uni and then i moved down to hollins uni in roanoke va to finish out my senoir year.
hey northern wv is good....once you kinda get past charleston is when things start to get freaky lol.....greenbrier area...beckly....mingo county *laughs*
*shakes*
-ash-
-
lol I don't doubt that it's hard to find people who know anything about WV, even that it's a state.
do you go to school around charleston? my brother goes to state college. Charleston's pretty sucky. It's not as bad as some places, I guess. heh.
-jen
-
