Auburn Sunrise : One of the Greatest Poets of Modern Times! on September 21, 2007(and of all times, for that matter!)
I was going to make a list of adjectives that I felt described Leilani (such as unique, original, etc.) - but I found that there really aren't words fitting to size her up - she's that amazing.
So I will have to look in the dictionary for something better, and everyone else will have to read all of her amazing poems. I haven't found a single poem by her that isn't incredible.
I truly believe we will see Leilani go down in history as this era's greatest poet. I know anthologies of her poems and biographies of her life will be on shelves in bookstores, and in Literature classrooms.
So keep it up girl! Never forget how amazing you are. -
