witchyflyer on August 13, 2004Oh oh oh! You do -not- live in the most boring city!
I live in Wales, Massachusetts... a town with a "sometimes" police force of two, no sidewalks, and a mall over an hour away.
What do we do for fun, then? Ah, simple- we go to the Walmart, two towns away. Now -that- is a good time. : ) -
dryiceburns on August 11, 2004i wouldn't expect them to, it's just my opinion. that's too bad, because you are a good writer. i'm not going to change my critquing style, i say what i think, which is better than blindly praising everything.
-
Forgotten Lilith on August 11, 2004I understand that because I'm the same way. You take it too far though. No one is going to change their poetry for you that has already been written...established...just because the flow didn't work for you. You insulted some of my favorite parts about my poetry, and believe me, there aren't many. You should really read the column on how to critique poetry.

dryiceburns on August 11, 2004somtimes yes, sometimes no. i write my opinions and i don't expect anything less of anyone else. i don't want fake praise and i'm not going to give it. i'm sorry if i have offended you, i do enjoy plenty of your poems.

Forgotten Lilith on August 11, 2004dry ice does burn, which is like the ultimate oxymoron. i'm a 17 year old girl who lives in the most boring city in america, jacksonville, florida.
my apologies in advance if i seem anal when i comment on things sometimes, i just get sick of hearing people praise stuff that has no emotion, or rhyme, or rhythm, or form, or anything, just words flung out haphazardly... not even good words, the same everyday words used over and over... allright, off on a tangent here... get over it.
And what? You think yours is any better? -
Napkin on August 9, 2004I agree with your decree against suicide. Stand up for your right to fight it! Go us!
