Because of work and unusually heavy travel requirements, it's been a while -- far too long, actually -- since I had a chance to say hello. I like the new layout here. I hope and trust that all is well with you.

Is that you? You're looking quite nice. Do you want to .. you know? Well, nevermind.

Thomas E Barking: English, please.

is that u there... your fairly fit if so... wanna... errr... no - lol

I agree with you about that line being a bit too "canned." LOL! I do like the way it all ties in at the end - when you think back to when they were kids and she said "make us disappear." I'll buy the DVD too. Edward Norton IS becoming one of my favorite actors. I really like his style and thought he played this role very well. He had the accent down perfectly.
-
Hi there. The Illusionist was a good movie. I think the storyline was original, too, and that's why I think the movie should have been GREAT. I love Edward Norton. I think he has grabbed hold of his talent and perfected it. I thought there was only one unbearably cliché line, something about solving mysteries all the time, but never being able to solve the mystery of her, or her heart or something along those lines. That was a silly, girly line. While I thought the ending was, too, a bit cliché, I do like how it played off the title of the movie. Overall, I enjoyed it, and will of course, purchase it when it is released on DVD. I must include Edward Norton in my ever-growing movie collection.

Hey, I see that you said you were going to see The Illusionist. I saw it a few days ago and thought it was awesome. What did you think? I thought the story was really original - acting great - and the setting, turn of the century Vienna, was lovely. I truly enjoyed the film. It had everything going for it - mystery, drama, romance. I'd give it 2 thumbs up!

Sgt B, Thank you for your kind words.

Tah-tah.

Hey good lookin', what you got cookin'?

-
Yes. That is me. I'm doing well, albeit sick at the moment. I hope you are doing well.
-
Hi there stranger, hope all is well!! Just wondering,
tell me, is that you on your author page?
-
That's a beautiful picture.

Monte (NoIQ), the feelings expressed behind the commentary aren't as hopeless as they've appeared to you - actually, quite the opposite. I may not believe in fairytales anymore, but I think that just means I can finally be happy with reality. And what's more, the stains add character. I should thank anyone who ever hit me with a tomato. I am flattered that they ever had enough feeling toward me to do so in the first place. Being considered a nonentity would be far more tragic. So, cheers to the tomato chucker!

Secberm, thank you so much.

Wow... Like the write. Nice.
-
Leo as in Dicaprio? watch your feet, you've just dropped a name!
-
Sad, but very, very eloquent new commentary on your author page.
I am by nature an optimist, though, and believe that by this time next year, you won't be mentioning tomatoes and instead will be referencing daisies or roses
-
nope, still holding to the prior deal. disillusionment is so much fun.
-
I am ready for the contrary quote.
-
Love is the delusion of lust. Peace is the pacification and/or renunciation of lust.
Next week I'll have a different, probably contrary quote.

David, please find another place to debate, argue, whatever it may be. My page has remained drama free, with the exception of the stalker, "sundevil" (my ex-husband's current wife's friend, Craig(?)), for the time that I've been on this site, and I want to keep it that way.
Thanks.

Yes billy davidson. The only difference between then and now is...now we've touched. But we've always been good friends. I've also met UB though we haven't seen each other in a year or so.
-
-
I met someone on the internet. We were close "virtual" friends but friends none the less. We met in person, are still best friends, only difference between then and now is....now we've touched. So Nam is wrong when he says a virtual friend isn't a real friend.
Hi Charisse
-
-
But since you are stating that -- then I guess we are just "virtually" friends, right?
-
please do not take my jokes and make them something "serious".
-
David, I know the above message is to NoIQ, but I thought I'd comment. Monte is, at least to me, an in-person friend, and may also be to DD. Does a virtual friendship outweigh an in-person friendship? Hm.... I wonder.
-
Desiree's known me since thestarlitecafe (somewhat) and that was waay back in 2001 -- so, I think between the two of us: I got you beat.

Well you and Des ARE in fact both spectacular females. I mean, you both know me, and by itself in my book that is something that should make any female feel special and spectacular, right?
Looking forward to a new poem at some point, by the way.
-
 Yes we are.
(shut up Nam)
-
No no, that's me. Yet male.
-
Hey you! Well, now, I have NO problem wrapping my head around the fact that you and I are the two most "spectacular" females on the planet. I'll share...with you.
Can I guess who told you you were? huh...huh...can I...can I, huh? BD?
Tah-Tah,

“I love you. You are the most spectacular version of the female kind and I love you…"
Somebody told me that same thing....well, almost the same thing, just a few days ago. You think it's possible that we are both "the most spectacular version of the female kind?"
-
I am very glad I entered your page. Young lady, you have been found by an admirer of your poetry.

where'd you find this background?
