    Hello. Recently I have decided to hold a
    contest as an " Invite only ". I have been reading
    your poems for quite awhile and thought this
    would be a good way of getting to know you better
    as a writer. I would very much appreciate an entry.
    It will aid in the hope to extend my commenting
    on other writers , Such as yourself.

    Thank you SO MUCH for you comment on my poem "In Control", it really meant a lot since....that poem was really...scary to post. Really, thanks. VERY MUCH. Sarra (and Anne) call me Rupert because, for some odd reason, that's what they nicknamed me on the trip to the Provincials. I really don't know WHY they picked that nickname, except they think it's funny, I guess. Have they told you about Bluff Place yet, or the Fykes? They really do (and I do too) have an odd sense of humour. But we love them anyways, right? Keep writing, I love all your poems. And, "you're welcome" (in response to your thank-you to the comments I've left you). I hope you get the chance to comment on the rest of my poems sometime. Keep writing, and keep sharing!

    Welcome to AllPoetry dim halo! We sincerely hope that you enjoy your time spent here and make full use of all of our features. You have been issued a free trial of our preferred memberships so you can take it for a test drive before you buy! Don’t worry when you get a message that says your preferred membership is up…you can still post poems and be a part of the community, you just won’t have the benefits of custom backgrounds and the ability to add pictures.

    We are an interactive community here at AP. We encourage all poets here to comment as much as, if not more than, you read and write. Comments are a big help to everyone. When you leave comments on other peoples work, it gives them feedback on how to improve their writing and makes them want to return the favor. It also gives you points which are used for starting challenges and promoting poetry. You can also gain points by winning contests that you enter and win. You can enter any contest that is ‘open’ and when you win, you get points and a cool trophy that goes on your page.

    We have preferred and uber memberships which you can purchase by clicking on the ‘store’ tab. You have been given a free trial of the ‘preferred’ status to try out. They have some kickin features such as custom backgrounds and the ability to put a picture on your author page and poems.

    Over to the right is the chatterbox. That is a neat little nook where you can talk to all the other poets who are online. We also have an IM system that you can use to leave a message with one who is offline. Please do not use the chatterbox for promoting though please…if you get caught, you will be fined and no one wants that!

    You will find that we have a lot of genres of poetry to choose from, which is perfect for us, since we poets tend to be an emotional bunch. We have poetry here to fit every mood. If you just click on the ‘poems’ tab in the top, left corner, you will be directed to a set of tabs for every genre so you can find one to fit your current mood.

    If you have any questions at all, feel free to contact me (my info is on my author page) or a moderator. Those are the ones whose names appear in blue.
