A Miserable Romance on January 16, 2006I read that you don't like society, neither do I. I have a poem called Humanity, I'm not saying you have to look at it, but I would like your opinion.

forbiddenforgotten on January 14, 2006Thanks for the wonderful comment. I really like your bio. You have a very intriguing perspective of society. I especially like the saying you quoted:
"I would rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I pretend to be."
Personally, I struggle with being diverse amongst those around me. People can be so restricted with themselves. I don't like that, and prefer to be open about everything.
Anyway, thanks again for the comment and take care. -

Vera Rich on January 10, 2006Dear Dead-Poets..
I disagree with you re rhyme.. Rhyming came naturally to me as a chold (perhaps because in our family children were permitted to speak at formal meals only if they did so in rhyme...
It took many years and much hard work to produce acceptable unrymed poetry... In fact I was all of 17 - having been writing professionaly for almost three years - before I produced an unrhymed poem of which I am still not ashamed.!
And saleable prose came even later!
However, as the Jewish prayer says (and the Muslims, I believe, echo) "Let us thank the Lord for the diversity of His creatures!"
Keep up the good work!
Vera
