I love how you placed the blinkie on your page... You're a haiku-spirit and soul through-and-through and really gave me any encouragement at the onset to carry on with this form. Yours is the difference between wanting to learn and discouragement...
I only noticed today the badge alongside your name when you left comment on a post of mine. I'll never bow even if it means your AP Queen, but can I say I knew you back when???
Ummm, if it means you're an AP-cop, I'll find myself an AP-lawyer...But knowing you, you're an AP teacher, SO for what class am I already too late???
You're the best-est, Susie!!!

I hope this image takes, but look what I made up for you at a blinkie-generator site I found:

Make your own Blinkie
It's a quote I read somewhere on the web, but I can't remember where or from whom, but I knew you'd like it!

hey sis, just dropping by to leave you a little love...

Hi Susie! I was going through your poem-list to find a cookie-jar poem you had written a month-or-so ago, but you're such a prolific writer and I have tons of reading to catch up with you...So I'll pass you a link to the PERFECT image for this poem I found on the net:
http://www.majesticwebsets.com/children/cj/cookiejar2.htm
It may need trimming to delete the "Welcome" portion, but lemme know if you need any help if you want to use it. It just so reminded me of your poem when coming across it.
In the meantime, the Wedding Haiku Contest closes this Sunday--(I think), and to expedite the judging process, I'll finalist-list all the entries we've received so far that we've both read and left comment. With two judges, it's difficult to tell whether we've both commented on the entries since AP doesn't distinguish between judges, and I may have missed a few.
Hoping your day has been good, and countin' down those days along with you until the BIG DAY!

I saw your poem in a contest and checked out your profile to find that you are from MD! I thought it an odd conicidence and couldn't help but point it out. You seem to be a lovely writer.

Hi Girl! Seems forever-long since I stopped by to visit, but wanted to let you know of a haiku class that Char--(Lotus of Lakshami) is now featuring here at AP. I figure for myself, I can use any haiku-education I can get! It's a good chance to work with some of those haiku-thoughts I've kept in the notebook too...
So hoping you'll sign on too! I just know we'll be doing something LJ/LM come one of the class assignments along the way!

To let you know I passed Mom a copy of your LJ haiku in her e-mail during the week, Susie. She only signs on to check her e-mail once-a-week on Saturday mornings, so it was such a sweet surprise for her coming to your poem first thing this morning. I heard all about it when I had coffee with her this morning!!!
By the way, she's one of those "early-to-bed/early-to-rise" types, so first thing this morning was about 4:30 AM!!!

NoWayJo : MY Testimonial on December 24, 2006
Too bad AP doesn't allow for the Rich Text Editor in these "Testimonials," which are intended as sort of book jacket notes I guess, because I was wanting to leave you a great BIG blinking Christmas tree and all my holiday wishes for you and yours...
Keeping the "book jacket notes" thing in mind though, I'll leave you and your Testimonial/book jacket notes readers with this:
Yes, Azure85 is a spectular writer of poetry in many forms, specifically the Haiku and Rictameter Forms. In fact, she was proclaimed U.S.A. Poet Laureate in 1985--(thus the "85" in her AP name), but later removed from her post due to rumors that circulated as to a series of Little Johnny moon-ing haiku in which she had been involved. Though the story itself made headline news in the National Enquirer, it was discovered the source of this "story" sold Susie out for the mere pittance of a $20.00 National Enquirer one-year subscription.
Happy Christmas to you Susie, and to all those you love and cherish--I hope your every Christmas wish comes true!

NoWayJo : Untitled on December 16, 2006
Hey Girl...Just came up to your "place" to poke around a little bit and leave you a message about two things:
First, I needed to grab a look at your FAV-List. Not out of nosiness mind you, but just needed to peek. But since I hate to peek without permission and you aren't around to permit me, I dug in anyway. So we'll consider that "permission granted" by you, OK?
Secondly, I'm kinda having second-thoughts about this LJ/LM Valentines Day Contest-thing we were considering. I mean does anyone want to really see these two characters IN LOVE? I doubt it...
Actually, there is a third reason I came poking up here and that was to let you know I've put up a new contest tonight. It's not an LJ/LM-haiku thing, but it is a haiku-thing and I thought you might like to take a peek, so here's a link that you can check out later:
http://allpoetry.com/contest/2334883
Anyway, Girl--Don't be mad or disappointed. There's good reason to my "nosiness" and I'm letting the contest run until you're well-within your Christmas breaktime.
I hoping that maybe you'll even help me in judging this latest contest of mine, OK? So read the Contest Page, and lemme know...
Til later,
Jo

NoWayJo : Syracuean Sonics Stuff... on December 14, 2006
You are too sweet by the "Syracusean Sonics Too" poem--I get this feeling someday your husband is gonna tell me just what kind of "dare" he may have proposed to you in marriage. I don't think there's a dare you haven't denied.
You make this AP place so much fun, Susie! I don't think there's a day that's gone by since knowing you that you haven't brought a smile, some giggles, some real laughter here to me at the other end of the screen. Thank you always for that!
By the way, if you feel to change the title of the poem, feel free. You've kept your part of the dare and kept it very well-written too! I'd even suggest you send off a copy to that Syracuse Theater Company...I know they'd probably appreciate receiving it to share with their members! You may even be published in a theater program or yearbook of sorts...??? And you'd know I'd love that as much as you.

NoWayJo : Haikus--NO Titles/AP Testimonials--YES Titles on November 27, 2006
Well here's to new AP discoveries and good friends like you...First, the new AP discoveries: Did you know that you now have to go to your messages, go to your notes, go to your testimonials all separately on your Settings Page to see if anyone has messaged, noted or testimonialized you? Be darned, I must've called in sick when that AP memo was passed on...But I didn't think I'd have to become the new computer-technical expert by these upgrades. I figure if to survive these upgrades and all I'll learn about computer-stuff--(albeit backwards computer-stuff), it'll be better than a four-year university degree. Oh well... The second thing as to good friend is this which I wanted to pass on to you as my niece had passed on to me by e-mail. It keeps you feeling young and AP "girl"-ish to get such stuff in your testimonials, doesn't it? Take care Susie... NoWayJo : Happy Thanksgiving!!! on November 22, 2006
Just stopping by to wish you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving holiday, Susie. I'll be travelling down to spend the next few days with my daughter and her husband, but I've promised myself NO COOKING--Not that they'd want my cooking anyway. I'm much better at buying those pumpkin pies already-made than any I've backed--(including the frozen Mrs. Smith's ones)!
Have a good one!

Hi Susie...After you had mentioned your trip to DC with your son over this past weekend and the photograph of him at the Vietnam Wall Memorial, this image I've kept in my collection came to mind:
allpoetry.com/poem/2312737
It's a famous painting titled "Reflections" though I don't know the artist offhand--(I can find out though). I've been trying to write a haiku off this image myself, with no success, but you'll probably do it more justice than I.
I don't know if you have the capability, but remember the gravestone/epitaph contest a month-or-so ago where you posted your epitaph right on the gravestone image? I think it would be just eloquent if you were to post your haiku in the lower left-hand corner of this Wall image in white so it's readable. It would just feel to blend-in as artwork to artwork. Lemme know if and when you do come to post something of this, or even your son's photograph, OK?
