    Well, Somerset Maughan may not have known the three laws of writing - but I was taught them -in broad Yorkshire - when I was seven years old. Rendered into standard English - they were:

    1) "If the great British public can possibly find a comic and/or dirty meaning you did not intend - it will!".

    2)"If the printers can possibly misunderstand instructions and mess things up - they will!"

    3) All Editors are idiots - till you become Editor".

    I was amazed at reading Ben Priest's story. Perhaps because a number of incidents that have taken place in his life which he described feel quite familiar to me. I am detaching myself entirely from 'regular' life at this point - quitting an IT job at a bank and starting up a custom painting company in The Netherlands. I saw TOJ does not yet have a Dutch chapter. Perhaps that will be something I will try to change in future.

    I would enter your contest but I have no real clue as to dealing with depression my wife is a manic depresant and I get depressed as well eventually it goes away and then returns in time. All I can say is Gods will be done and God Bless! oh here is that link to my music also.

    hey, I cliqued on the link you sent me and the first thing I noticed was a big Under Construction billboard. But as I continued seeking the site I was amazed to find a great new band to listen to.

    hello!! I don't see why I can't make "Whispers of La Garce" into a story. I think you're right, it would be interesting.
    Well, la Garce, is a girl I met recently that is causing me trouble, and writing this poem was the only way i could think of venting it without losing my temper.
